    摘要: A color active matrix display system allows random access of pixel electrodes. The control electronics is fabricated with the active matrix circuitry using single crystal silicon technology. The control electronics includes a random access data scanner and random access spec scanners. By selectively actuating pixel electrodes in the active matrix display region, compressed video information can be directly displayed on the active matrix display panel. Color stripes are used to generate sequential color systems to produce a color image from the active matrix display panel.

    摘要: In a single panel scrolling raster projection system of the type having a single light source, a single light valve panel, a rotatable element having surface segments for separating the white light into color bands, and field-sequential, line-at-a-time addressing means, one or more of the color bands is sized to have a height in the scrolling direction greater than the height of the panel in the scrolling direction, and sizing the remaining bands to have a scrolling height substantially equal to that of the panel. Color correction is achieved by changing the power of the light source to increase or decrease its illumination during the period in which the panel is substantially entirely illuminated by a color band having a scrolling height greater than that of the panel, and/or by adjusting the scrolling heights of the color bands relative to one another.

    摘要: A color projection video system utilizing only a single light valve. A white light source is separated into into red, green and blue bands. Scanning optics cause the RGB bands to be sequentially scanned across a light valve, such as a transmission LCD panel. Prior to each color passing over a given row of panels on the light valve, that row will be addressed, by the display electronics with the appropriate color content of that portion of the image which is being displayed. The image is projected by a projection lens onto a viewing surface, such as a screen. The sequence of light bands occurs so quickly as to give the viewer an appearance of simultaneous full color.
