摘要: Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for injecting a fuel using Lorentz forces. In one aspect, a method to inject a fuel includes distributing a fuel between electrodes configured at a port of a chamber, generating an ion current of ionized fuel particles by applying an electric field between the electrodes to ionize at least some of the fuel, and producing a Lorentz force to accelerate the ionized fuel particles into the chamber. In some implementations of the method, the accelerated ionized fuel particles into the chamber initiate a combustion process with oxidant compounds present in the chamber. In some implementations, the method further comprises applying an electric potential on an antenna electrode interfaced at the port to induce a corona discharge into the chamber, in which the corona discharge ignites the ionized fuel particles within the chamber.

摘要: A fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine is provided. The fuel injection value includes an injection hole plate having a plurality of fuel chambers formed by recessing part of the upstream side of the injection hole plate at a plurality of positions along the valve seat opening portion. Each of the fuel chambers has a shape in which the halves are symmetric with each other with respect to a line that radially extends from the center of the injection hole plate. The fuel chambers are is disposed in a place that ranges from the inside of a virtual circle to the outside of the inner circumference of the valve seat opening portion. Two injection holes are arranged outside the inner circumference of the valve seat opening portion in such a way as to flank the radial center line of the fuel chamber.

摘要: A fuel injection device is equipped with a fuel injection valve that is mounted in an engine body and injects fuel containing air bubbles, and void fraction adjustment means that changes a void fraction of the fuel that is to be injected from the fuel injection valve. The void ratio adjustment means increases the fuel pressure of the fuel to be injected from the fuel injection valve when an increase of the void fraction is requested. The void fraction adjustment means adjusts the void fraction of the fuel by changing temperature of the fuel to be injected from the fuel injection valve. By appropriately controlling the void fraction, both fuel atomization and securement of the net amount of fuel can be achieved.

摘要: A fuel injection valve includes: a nozzle body having a nozzle hole formed in a front edge portion thereof; a spiral flow path that gives a swirling component to a fuel which passes through the nozzle body toward the nozzle hole; and a pre-injection swirl flow generating unit that causes the fuel to flow through the spiral flow path before the nozzle hole is opened, wherein the pre-injection swirl flow generating means is communicated with the spiral flow path at a downstream side of the spiral flow path, and includes a suction chamber whose volume is expanded before the nozzle hole is opened.

The nozzle-plate stack (100) defines a central circuit (104), corner air circuits (105), a first fuel circuit (106) and a second fuel circuit (107). The fuel circuits (106, 107) include a swirl chamber in which the fuel is swirled prior to being merged with the central circuit (104). The corner air circuits (105) merge with the central circuit (104) downstream of the fuel circuits' merge and provide an additional swirling component to further shape the fuel-air stream prior to ignition.

摘要: A fuel injection valve includes a nozzle body including an injection aperture; a needle that is slidably located in the nozzle body, forms a fuel introduction path between the needle and the nozzle body, and is seated on a seat portion in the nozzle body; a swirling flow generating portion that is located more upstream than the seat portion, and imparts a swirl with respect to a sliding direction of the needle to fuel introduced from the fuel introduction path; a swirl velocity increasing portion that is located more downstream than the seat portion, and increases a swirl velocity of a swirling flow generated in the swirling flow generating portion; and an air bubble reserving portion that is located more downstream than the swirl velocity increasing portion, and reserves air bubbles generated by passage through the swirl velocity increasing portion. The injection aperture opens in the air bubble reserving portion.

摘要: A fuel injection valve in which, even in an engine in which a fuel containing many foreign matters is used, pinching of solid foreign matters, such as impurities, dirt and dust, and combustion residues, in a sliding part on the outer periphery of a needle valve, the tip of the needle valve, and a seat of a nozzle tip, malfunction an seizure of the needle valve due to such containing, and poor combustion due to irregular injection are prevented from occurring.The fuel injection valve has a first groove cut in the periphery surface of the needle valve and the second grooves cut in a seat surface of the nozzle tip. The first groove is provided so that the needle valve is rotated by flow of the fuel in the first groove caused by reciprocating motion of the needle valve, and the upper and lower ends of the first groove are opened to the outside so that a part of fuel can be introduced in to the groove. The second grooves are twisted or tilted in the same direction as the rotating direction of the needle valve and are cut along the circumferential direction of the nozzle tip. The second grooves have an edge part for scraping off solid matters in the fuel into the second grooves in cooperation with of the tip seat surface of the needle valve affected by the rotation of the needle valve.

The body of the injector includes a fuel gallery with a contoured scarf formed therein. The scarf is configured to minimize and/or prevent fuel recirculation thus reducing the likelihood that fuel will dwell in an area long enough to sufficient to cause the degradation of the fuel.

摘要: A valve body surrounds a first passage connecting with a cylinder of an engine. A valve member is adapted to be seated on and lifted from the valve seat. An injector body connects with the valve body. The injector body has a pressure control chamber for controlling hydraulic pressure applied to the valve member thereby controlling a lift of the valve member. The injector body has a second passage through which fuel in the pressure control chamber is exhausted. An actuator is adapted to communicating the pressure control chamber with the first passage through the second passage and blocking the pressure control chamber from the first passage. The first passage introduces fuel from the pressure control chamber into the cylinder through the second passage.
