摘要:
A panel for a building form made of insulating material such as polystyrene is integrated with a reinforcing member for enabling the panel to resist deformation due to forces applied against its concrete-facing surface. Reinforcement of floor/roof panels is beneficial to reduce the amount of, or eliminate the need for, shoring for supporting the weight of wet concrete or workers. The reinforcement resists against deformation due to cracking, splitting etc. Reinforcement is likewise beneficial for wall forms where the weight of concrete asserts significant pressure against the concrete-facing surface of the form, in order to resist deformation of the wall forms under pressure. The reinforcing member may be made of a plastic material such as polypropylene or high-impact polystyrene. Methods of manufacturing reinforced form panels are disclosed.

A formwork assembly is adapted to receive concrete to produce structures such as wall structures. The formwork includes PVC tubular form elements having recessed female engagement portions. The female engagement portions are adapted to receive respective male engagement portions. An octagonal form element has a female engagement portion positioned at each vertex between adjacent sides. A recessed female engagement portion is closed to the interior of the form element but open to the exterior of the form element. Thus, the form element includes a plurality of vertices open to the exterior. The form elements also include male engagement portions at an open side. Wall panels, corner panels, and joint connectors can also include male engagement portions. The male engagement portions and female engagement portions are adapted to mate to form a formwork arrangement having a substantially flat exterior wall. A formwork assembly can additionally include concrete flow apertures and insulation.

A construction form system for forming concrete walls for use as above grade walls, foundations, frost walls, exterior envelopes, and the like, is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of pairs of opposing vertical forming panels spaced from each other to define a forming cavity disposed to receive a hardenable material. Each pair of opposing forming panels comprises an inner panel forming part of an inner wall and an outer panel forming part of an outer wall. The system also includes an outer rail positioned between each adjacent pair of outer forming panels and an inner rail positioned between each adjacent pair of inner forming panels. The inner forming panels comprise support panels configured to be selectively addable and removable from between each adjacent pair of inner rails prior to and subsequent to a pouring of the hardenable material into the cavity.

A corner form panel used in an insulating concrete form system includes a hinged corner web member at least partially embedded in each of two segments of the form panel. The hinged corner web member enables the two segments to rotate with respect to each other, so that the form panel can be opened to a flat configuration for shipping, and folded into a corner configuration at the jobsite. Both inside and outside corner panels may be provided, and may use different hinged corner web members. The corner web member may include features for connecting the inside and outside corner panels, to reinforce the resulting form unit.

Disclosed is an economical and effective way of producing a modular retaining wall, using only blocks which in and of themselves are of insufficient thickness to function as retaining wall blocks. The modular wall includes backer blocks and facing blocks which are connected by connectors in a back to back, spaced apart arrangement, thereby forming a hollow retaining wall. The hollow wall can be filled with loose filler material to increase the mass and retaining capacity of the wall. Further disclosed are wall components and a wall kit for a modular retaining wall. A double sided decorative wall is also disclosed. The modular wall system allows for the construction of retaining walls and freestanding, double sided, decorative walls forming both straight and curved walls.

A stay-in-place form for casting concrete structures comprises a plurality of elongate panels interconnectable in edge-to-edge relationship via complementary connector components on their longitudinal edges to define at least a portion of a perimeter of the form. Each panel comprises a first contoured connector component comprising a protrusion on a first longitudinal edge thereof and a second contoured connector component comprising a receptacle on a second longitudinal edge thereof. The panels are connectable to one another in edge-to-edge relationship by positioning the protrusion of a first panel in or near the receptacle of a second panel and effecting relative pivotal motion between the first connector component of the first panel and the second connector component of the second panel to extend the protrusion of the first panel into the receptacle of the second panel.

The spacer 1 defines a body (2) having two opposed sides (3) and (4). The body (2) defines a separation distance between the opposed sides (3) and (4) for use as a spacer intermediate at least two concrete containment panels (5) and (6). Various preferred embodiments have separation distances suitable for forming walls having concrete thicknesses of 50 mm, 120 mm or 150 mm, for example. Each of the opposed sides (3) and (4) include fastening means (7) and (8) adapted for fastening of a cladding panel (16) disposed external to the concrete containment panels (5) and (6), as shown for example in FIGS. (32) and (33). To counter bulging of the concrete containment panels (5) due to the weight of the concrete a brace (49) adapted for fastening engagement with the spacers (1) may be used, as shown in FIGS. (50) to (55). The brace 49 includes an abutment member (50) for abutment with the concrete containment panels (5). A plurality of fastening means (51) are disposed on the abutment member (50) for fastening engagement with spacers (1). The fastening means (51) each define a leading portion (52) and a trailing portion (53). As shown for example in FIG. (50), the leading portion (52) has a width greater than a width of the trailing portion (53). A pair of opposed lips (54) and (55) are disposed on the leading portion (52). To fasten the abutment member (50) of the brace (49) to the spacers (1), the leading portion (52) of the fastening means (51) is inserted between a pair of projections {9 and 10} on the spacer. Once the lips (54) and (55) clear the projections (9) and (10), the projections resiliently snap toward their resting position and engage the trailing portion (53) so as to fasten the abutment member (50) to the spacer (1). This is repeated with other spacers (1) as required until the abutment member (50) provides the desired level of support to counter bulging of the concrete containment panels (5).

A method of manufacturing a wall unit comprises assembling a set of substantially parallel vertical elongated wall ties having opposite edges which are substantially coplanar on each side of the set. Each wall tie has a plurality of triangular openings distributed along its length with the openings of adjacent wall ties substantially aligned in a horizontal direction. A plurality of reinforcing rods are inserted horizontally through respective sets of aligned openings. Due to the triangular configuration of the openings each rod is deflected under gravity towards, and comes to rest adjacent, an edge of the wall tie. One or more formwork panels are secured to the substantially coplanar edges on each side of the wall ties.
