Abstract: In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration from a base station that indicates whether to use a first channel quality indicator (CQI) table from a first set of CQI tables associated with terrestrial network communications or whether to use a second CQI table from a second set of CQI tables associated with non-terrestrial network communications. The UE may transmit CQI feedback to the base station based at least in part on the configuration. The UE may transmit the CQI feedback using the first CQI table when the configuration indicates that the first CQI table is to be used or may transmit the CQI feedback using the second CQI table when the configuration indicates that the second CQI table is to be used.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may generate a set of symbols, wherein each symbol of the set of symbols includes a first portion including data and a second portion including a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequence, wherein the second portion of each symbol is positioned at the end of the respective symbol. Th wireless device may add, to a beginning of each symbol in the set of symbols, a cyclic prefix including the DMRS sequence in the second portion of the respective symbol. The wireless device may then transmit the set of symbols, including the cyclic prefix at the beginning of each respective symbol, in a burst over a wireless channel using a single-carrier waveform.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some networks, a user equipment (UE) may switch between serving beams of a transmitting device that are associated with different bandwidth parts of a radio frequency spectrum. To improve aspects of beam measurement and selection, a UE may be configured to support various techniques for beam measurement according to the different bandwidth parts. For example, a UE may receive a beam measurement configuration associated with one or more beams, and may monitor for reference signals associated with the beams using the different bandwidth parts. The UE may determine a channel quality of one or more of the beams based on the monitoring, and transmit a beam measurement report to the network in accordance with the beam measurement configuration. In some examples, such a report may be transmitted based on the UE determining that an event condition is satisfied.

A user equipment (UE) and a satellite of a non-terrestrial network (NTN) may establish communications on a beam of the satellite. The UE may receive, on a first carrier of a first set of carriers associated with a first beam, a configuration for the first set of carriers associated with the first beam and a second set of carriers associated with a second beam. The first carrier may be used to send a first set of synchronization signals, and a second carrier of the second set of carriers may be used to send a second set of synchronization signals. The UE may identify some system information associated with the second set of carriers based on the configuration and reselect to the second beam based on the configuration.

The UE may identify location information corresponding to the location of the UE with respect to the network entity. The UE may identify beam geometry information for one or more beams associated with the network entity. For example, the UE may receive the beam geometry information from the network entity. The UE may process the location information and the beam geometry information to identify a second set of one or more beams, the second set different than the first set. The UE and the network entity may communicate according to the second set of one or more beams.

The indication may indicate an amount of time for the UE to switch between SCSs. The UE may receive, from the base station, signaling that indicates a configuration for monitoring the set of frequency resources according to the second SCS (e.g., a configuration for a reduced SCS window). Generally, a user equipment (UE) may identify an energy per resource element (EPRE) ratio between a synchronization signal block (SSB) symbol containing a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and an SSB symbol containing a secondary synchronization signal (SSS), a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), or both, based on an operating band for the UE, a bandwidth of the SSB symbol containing the PSS and the SSB symbol containing the SSB, the PBCH, or both. The EPRE ratio may be based on maximum regulatory equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP) limits, maximum regulatory power spectral density (PSD) limits for the band, or both. The EPRE ratios may be different for different SSB symbols, when different SSB symbols have different bandwidths. A base station may configure and transmit, and a UE may receive, the SSB according to the identified EPRE ratio.

In some cases, a base station may provide a mapping of resources (e.g., a bitmap) within the control resources that are occupied, which may be used for rate-matching.

Generally, the described techniques provide for establishing rules for scheduling downlink data transmissions and flow control feedback for the downlink data transmissions to avoid confusion at a base station and a user equipment (UE). In one example, when flow control feedback from a UE is disabled for a downlink data transmission, the UE may still operate according to a timing for reporting flow control feedback for the downlink data transmission. In this example, the UE may drop (e.g., refrain from decoding) other downlink data transmissions based on the timing for reporting flow control feedback. In another example, when flow control feedback from a UE is disabled for a downlink data transmission, other downlink data transmissions to the UE may be scheduled according to one or more rules to avoid confusion.

Upon determining the set(s) of resources, the satellite may transmit an indication of the set(s) of resources to a user terminal.
