Abstract: A device for coding video data, the device comprising a memory configured to store video data; and one or more processors implemented in circuitry and configured to: code a value for a profile indicator syntax element in a bitstream including video data, the value for the profile indicator representing a class of a profile to which the bitstream conforms; code one or more values representing one or more coding-tool-specific constraints, separate from the profile indicator syntax element, each of the coding-tool-specific constraints indicating whether coding tools corresponding to the coding-tool-specific constraints can be enabled for at least a subset of the bitstream; and code the video data according to the coding-tool-specific constraints and the class of the profile.

Abstract: A video coder determines a boundary luma value and derives a chroma value that corresponds to the boundary luma value. The video coder may derive a first prediction model and a second prediction model based on the derived chroma value. The video coder may use the first prediction model to determine a first set of predicted chroma samples of a prediction block for the current block. The first set of predicted chroma samples corresponds to the luma samples of the prediction block that have values less than or equal to the boundary luma value. The video coder may use the second prediction model to determine a second set of predicted chroma samples of the prediction block. The second set of predicted chroma samples corresponds to the luma samples of the prediction block that have values greater than the boundary luma value.

Abstract: In some examples, a method of decoding a point cloud includes determining a first slice QP value for a first component of an attribute in a slice of point cloud data. The method also includes decoding a first delta QP value for the first component of the attribute for a region in the slice and determining a first region QP value for the first component of the attribute in the region from the first slice QP value and from the first delta QP value. The method further includes decoding a second delta QP value for the second component of the attribute for the region and determining a second region QP value for the second component of the attribute in the region from the second delta QP value. The method includes decoding the point cloud data based on the first and second region QP values.

Abstract: Dynamic Range Adjustment can be used to correct distortions that can occur when the dynamic range of the colors in video are transformed. In various examples, Dynamic Range Adjustment can be performed using a function without discontinuities that takes as input a range of color values. Parameters describing the function can be encoded into a bitstream, and the parameters can be used by a decoding process to reconstruct the function. The function can be linear or non-linear. The function optionally includes a piece-wise linear function.
