摘要: A drilling system includes a horizontal tubular handling and transfer assembly configured to receive a tubular component, a first sensor array disposed at a first axial location on the horizontal tubular handling and transfer assembly, and a second sensor array disposed at a second axial location on the horizontal tubular handling and transfer assembly. The drilling system also includes processing circuitry configured to determine a length dimension of the tubular component based on first data feedback from the first sensor array, second data feedback from the second sensor array, or both. The processing circuitry is also configured to determine a diameter dimension of the tubular component based on the first data feedback, the second data feedback, or both.

摘要: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a trailer having a frame suitable for transporting an item, such as an oil drilling pipe. The trailer includes a plurality of stabilizers for supporting the frame over a surface, at least one axle attached to a plurality of wheels. The trailer further includes an axle pin group includes first and second axle pins interconnected to respective hydraulic cylinders. The trailer further includes leaf springs connected to respective sides of the frame and mounted to the axle. Retraction of the axle pins away from the leaf springs enables movement of the frame with respect to the axle due to the weight of the frame, if the stabilizers are retracted. In this configuration, the frame can be raised and lowered with respect to the surface. Methods of use are also disclosed.

摘要: Methods and systems for optimizing timing for drilling and tripping operation. An example method may include receiving a plurality of sensor data characterizing rig equipment and tripping status. The method may include identifying a plurality of multi-thread rig states based on the plurality of sensor data. The method calculates a plurality of optimal rig state characteristics (RSCs), wherein the plurality of optimal RSCs are calculated based on the plurality of sensor data as it relates to the plurality of multi-thread rig states. The method also performs a tripping operation with the rig equipment after applying the plurality of optimal RSCs. The method may also gather a plurality of updated sensor data from the rig equipment during the tripping operation for a recalculation of the plurality of optimal RSCs.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a method for running a drilling rig or a workover rig including a plurality of stands into a wellbore. In step 1, position information of the stands in a finger board area may be recorded with a control system. In step 2, the stands may be placed. In step 3, a position of a traveling block may be adjusted so as to move a power elevator to a second waiting position of a racking platform. In step 4, the stands may be pushed with the pipe racking device. In step 5, the second stand may be moved and stabbed in the first stand with an iron floor man. In step 6, a joint between the first stand and the second stand may be made up. In step 7, the traveling block may be moved downward. In step 8, the traveling block may be moved upward.

摘要: A support gate device that allows iron tubes to be loaded efficiently into a pipe holding bin of a directional drilling machine. The support gate device is a rectangular cartridge the houses a swiveling gate. The swiveling gate has a stop plate and a spring. The support gate device attaches to an end of a horizontal bar of the directional drilling machine. The directional drilling machine has a pair of horizontal bars that are linearly opposed to each other that lead into the pipe holding bin. A pair of support gate devices are installed on the horizontal bars of the directional drilling machine.

摘要: An apparatus for changing a drilling tool for a drilling rig is described, where the drilling rig comprises a drill tower supporting a drill pipe. The apparatus for changing a drilling tool has a drilling tool changer assembly moveable between a storage position and an exchange position, and the drilling tool changer assembly supports a rotatable carousel assembly. The rotatable carousel assembly is capable of being removed from the drilling tool changer assembly and capable of replacement on the drilling tool changer in the same angular position with respect to the drill pipe as when removed. The rotatable carousel assembly has a plurality of bit adaptors for holding drilling tools and is selectively rotatable to bring a selected drilling tool into coaxial alignment with the drill pipe when the drilling tool changer assembly supporting the rotatable carousel assembly is moved into the exchange position.
