Abstract:
There are provided an image exposure device, an image exposure method, and a program, the image exposure device including: an image display device; a support portion that supports a photosensitive recording medium for recording an image displayed on the image display device in a state in which an exposure surface thereof faces the image display device; a louver film that is provided between the image display device and the support portion and limits an angle of light radiated from the image display device; an image generation unit that generates a display image in which an image quality of a color input image is deteriorated by emphasizing a density difference of a high-frequency component of the input image; and a controller that performs a control for generating an image of an R component, an image of a G component, and an image of a B component from the display image and sequentially displaying each of the image of the R component, the image of the G component, and the image of the B component on the image display device in a predetermined order to sequentially expose the photosensitive recording medium.
Abstract:
A method for selecting a colorant amount for printing is described in which a maximum optical density of an image is identified. The maximum optical density is compared to with a threshold optical density, and when the threshold is exceeded, dot cluster sizes from a first lookup table are selected, otherwise, dot cluster sizes from a second lookup table are selected. A colorant thickness corresponding to the selected dot cluster sizes is selected for printing the image.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus for correcting red eye phenomenon in a photographic image is disclosed. The apparatus includes a fog degree calculating section for calculating a degree of red fog present in a face area, based on values of pixels included in the face area selected from the photographic image, a red eye correction degree determining section for determining a red eye correction degree based on the determined fog degree, a pupil area extracting section for extracting a pupil area from the face area, and a red eye correcting section for effecting a red eye correction on the pupil area based on the determined red eye correction degree.
Abstract:
A film exposure apparatus employs a liquid crystal display. The film exposure apparatus may reduce the film and plate fabrication cost and time required in a publication printing process and may also enhance printing quality. The apparatus may include an exposure device that illuminates the LCD. The LCD may display an image in one or more gray scales that may correspond to color concentrations in a document to be reproduced. The LCD may control the amount of light that passes through the LCD and that exposes red (R), green (G), and blue (B) films.
Abstract:
A method for the automatic reproduction of the colors of an original scene from an original image present as a color negative or diapositive film includes scanning the original image electronically, and storing the RGB color values of the image points as scanned transmissions or scanned densities. In the RGB color space, a gray straight line is determined, which approximates the cloud of points formed by the scanned densities of the image points in an optimum way. The transmissions are corrected by minimum transmission values in each case being subtracted from the scanned transmissions. Then, reconstructed film exposures are determined, whereby, by the gray straight line, film exposure straight lines are constructed that describe the relationship between the logarithmic film exposures and the corrected densities. Following the normalization of the film exposures to a standard image range, the film exposures are transformed into the LAB color space.
Abstract:
A method of and apparatus for printing color images by the superimposition of a number of separations, using a first half-tone technique optimized for surface reproduction, such as dithering, and a second half-tone technique, differing from the first and optimized for edge reproduction, such as thresholding with error diffusion, is disclosed. The second half-tone technique is used in edge transitions for pixels of a separation which substantially influences the edge transition, and the first half-tone technique is used outside the edge transition. And the first half-tone technique is used throughout in the case of pixels of a separation which provide no or minimal contribution to the edge transition.
Abstract:
A negative to be printed is masked. The mask, or an image of the mask in the plane of the negative, or both the mask and the image, have a low resolution of 0.1 to 2 line pairs per millimeter.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a full color printer which comprises a optical writing head for writing a latent image onto a printing paper such as a silver salt-sensitive member. The optical writing head has an array of optical shutter elements each of which is made of PLZT. Red color light, green color light, and blue color light are sequentially projected to the light shutter element, and the drive voltage applied to the light shutter elements is changed synchronized with the color change. To prevent the generation of spike noise, the drive voltage is not changed suddenly, but is changed smoothly.
Abstract:
A printing system for printing an image of a photographic film having an identification code onto a photosensitive material comprises a first reading device for reading the identification code; a second reading device for reading image information on the photographic film; a first inputting device for inputting a first correction data for the image information read by the second reading device; a second inputting device for inputting a second correction data for the image information read by the second reading device; a third reading device for reading the identification code from the photographic film; a printing device for printing the image of the photographic film onto the photosensitive material; and a control device for controlling the printing device on the basis of the correction data corresponding to the identification code read by the third reading device.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for printing images on different mediums, such as images recorded on a photographic film and index print images onto photographic paper while an image printing device is reduced in size. A film carrier is positioned to a first position so that images recorded on a negative film set on the film carrier are exposed by a light source. Further, the film carrier is moved to a second position so that images formed on a liquid crystal panel are exposed by the same light source as that used for the exposure of the images on the negative film.
