摘要: Methods of making a composite material may include the steps of depositing a plurality of fullerenes on a first graphene sheet forming a bottom plate, placing a second graphene sheet forming a top plate on a top of the plurality of fullerenes, and fusing the plurality of fullerenes to the first graphene sheet forming the bottom plate and the second graphene sheet forming the top plate, wherein the plurality of fullerenes are converted to fullerene-derived carbon columns, and wherein the composite material comprises a tensile strength in an x-axis parallel to the plane of the graphene sheets of at least 20 GPa.

摘要: A system for inductive heating of an aircraft surface includes a conductive outer layer configured to be located on an outer portion of the aircraft surface. The system further includes a carbon nanotube (CNT) yarn configured to receive and conduct electrical current. The system further includes an insulator located between the conductive outer layer and the CNT yarn such that the electrical current flowing through the CNT yarn generates induction heating on the conductive outer layer.

摘要: According to a first aspect of the invention, a method for producing a metal-CNT composite material is proposed. The method includes providing a layer of CNT by depositing CNT coated with a polyphenol or poly(catecholamine) coating and filling the interstices of the carbon nanotubes layer with a metal so as to form a metal matrix, in which CNT are embedded. The filling is effected by electrode position or by electroless deposition. The polyphenol or poly(catecholamine) coating is crosslinked by metal ions, the metal ions promoting, as metal seeds, adhesion and/or growth of the metal matrix during the filling step. A further aspect of the invention relates to the metal-CNT composite obtainable by the method.
