Abstract:
The invention is directed to an arrangement for the generation of short-wavelength radiation based on a hot plasma generated by gas discharge and to a method for the production of coolant-carrying electrode housings. It is the object of the invention to find a novel possibility for gas discharge based short-wavelength radiation sources with high average radiation output in quasi-continuous discharge operation by which efficient cooling principles can be implemented using inexpensive and simple means in order to prevent a temporary melting of the electrode surfaces and, therefore, to ensure a long lifetime of the electrodes. According to the invention, this object is met in that special cooling channels for circulating coolant are integrated in electrode collars of the electrode housings. The cooling channels are advanced radially up to within a few millimeters of the highly thermally stressed surface regions and are connected by necked-down channel portions which are arranged coaxial to the axis of symmetry and which are provided with channel structures for increasing the inner surface and for increasing the flow rate of the coolant.

Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a two-phase cooling system includes a condensing heat exchanger fluidly coupled to an evaporator assembly and a pressure controller. The condensing heat exchanger condenses a coolant from a vapor phase to a liquid phase by removing heat from the coolant. The evaporator assembly is thermally coupled to a vacuum tube and operable to receive liquid coolant from the condensing heat exchanger, cool the vacuum tube by evaporating the coolant from the liquid phase to the vapor phase, and transporting the evaporated coolant to the condensing heat exchanger. The pressure controller maintains the pressure of the coolant in the evaporator assembly at a sub-ambient pressure to lower the boiling point of the coolant for reducing the operating temperature of the vacuum tube.

The present invention provides a thermally conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprising an acrylic (or methacrylic) ester copolymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising an acrylic (or methacrylic) estermonomer capable of forming a homopolymer having a glass transition temperature of −20° C. or lower, a monomer having an organic acid group, and a monomer copolymerizable with these monomers in the presence of a copolymer comprising acrylic (or methacrylic) ester monomer units capable of forming a homopolymer having a glass transition temperature of −20° C. or lower, monomer units having an organic acid group, monomer units having a functional group other than any organic acid group and monomer units copolymerizable with these monomer units, and a metal hydroxide, wherein the acrylic (or methacrylic) ester copolymer is foamed, the composition being excellent in balance between hardness and pressure-sensitive adhesive property, having excellent shape-conformability and other performances, and being able to be made into a sheet easily be molded and the obtained sheet can easily be peeled from an adherend to which the sheet adheres easily after the sheet is used; a thermally conductive sheet-form molded foam comprising this composition; and a process for producing the same.
Abstract:
There is provided a heat sink sheet which can secure a heat source and a heat sink such as an aluminum cooling fin to each other and is superior in heat sink performance. The heat sink sheet is achieved by adhering a pressure sensitive adhesive layer adhered to the whole or part of a surface of a silicone heat sink layer. It is desirable that the pressure sensitive adhesion layer be made of an acrylic-containing adhesive or an urethane-containing adhesive, and a heat sink filler is advantageously blended with the pressure sensitive adhesive layer.
