The arrangement is such that, in a first direction of rotation (A), the third component (50) can rotate freely with respect to the second (31), and, in a second direction of rotation (B), the third component (50) is rigidly coupled to the second (31). Recesses (58) are formed on the lateral shaft surface (55a), these recesses accommodating corresponding rolling elements and being shaped so as to create, in the second direction of rotation, a centrifugal displacement of the rolling elements such that the elements are locked between the recesses (58) and the lateral support surface (35a).

    摘要: A rubber bearing with a bearing body implemented as an elastomer spring, wherein the spring travel of the bearing body is limited in at least one damping direction by path delimiters. The path delimiter(s) are formed by at least two corresponding stop elements, whereby the spring travel of the elastomer bearing body in the respective direction is determined by the spacing or gap between the stop faces of the stop elements which form the path delimiter. The rubber bearing is constructed so that it can adapt to changing preloads. The path delimiter is designed so that the position of one of its stop elements can be changed, the spacing between the stop face of this stop element and that of the corresponding stop element can be changed, and the new position of the corresponding stop element can be fixed again. The position of the stop element is changed by an actuator arranged on the bearing or by temporarily loosening a locking means and passively tracking the position of the stop element according to the preload.

    摘要: A handling strut connects the powertrain of an automobile to a structural member, such as a panel in the engine bay. The handling strut is comprised of two strut members, one connected to the powertrain, the other connected to the structural member. A shaft attached to one strut member, extends through a bushing provided in the other strut member and an air gap is provided between the bushing and the shaft, such that when the engine is idle, or not accelerating, and in the absence of hard cornering, the strut members are decoupled. The isolation of the strut members when not required to control engine roll, reduces/avoids transmission of noise, vibration and/or harshness.

    摘要: A resetting semi-passive stiffness damper (RSPSD) for use in damping movement. Embodiments of such a RSPSD include, for example, a pistoned cylinder connected to a grooved rack, and a spring-loaded lever arranged between the rack and a slotted channel above the rack. One end of the lever is allowed to move pivotably and vertically within the channel as the other end moves with the rack. A sensor is provided and communicates with a bypass valve on the cylinder. A change in the direction of movement of the rack forces the lever further into the slotted channel where it eventually triggers the sensor, which then sends a signal to open the bypass valve. As the rack continues to move, the lever eventually reverses direction, and is forced back down the slotted channel by a return spring. Upon leaving the sensing range of the sensor, the valve is signaled to close.
