An extension device according to the invention comprises a housing having a closed first end and an open second end, a support member inside the housing projecting from the first end thereof, a piston slideably mounted in the housing around the support member, means for extending the piston out of the second end of the housing, means for retracting the piston into the housing, and a locking mechanism for releasably locking the piston to the support member, wherein the locking mechanism comprises one or more locking members mounted on the support member operable to be selectively moved in and out of locking engagement with the piston.

    摘要: A locking device is used for locking at least a piston associated with an operating element of a valve, a choke, a blowout preventer or some other unit used in the field of oil/natural gas drilling and/or oil/natural gas production. The locking device comprises a sleeve, which is axially displaceable relative to the piston and which is threadedly engaged with a rotatably supported rod for displacement in an axial direction. The rod is drivingly connected to a motor. In order to be able to determine, by means of simple structural measures, the position of the piston for each of its positions in a sufficiently precise and reproducible manner, the locking device is provided with a position sensor, which extends from a fixed point through a longitudinal bore of the lock rod up to the hydraulic piston and by means of which a distance between the piston and the fixed point can be detected.

    摘要: A handling equipment of the swingable arm type comprises a double acting cylinder within whose chamber a main piston is sealingly mounted, which is slidable owing to the selective delivery of fluid under pressure at opposite zones of the chamber, which is connected to a rod associated to the arm with a toggle joint. The equipment comprises a device for controlling the oscillation of the arm, including: a cavity of the rod having a nut screw, a screw member with a threaded shank in engagement with the nut screw, a rotatable head opposite to the rod and not slidably mounted with respect to the cylinder, and means for controlling the rotation of the screw member, associated with its head in order to brake the rotation of the screw member following to an anomalous condition in the feeding of fluid under pressure to the chamber of the cylinder.

    摘要: A fluid apparatus includes a pneumatic cylinder having a main body, a piston, and a hollow rod. A ball screw shaft engaged with a ball nut fixed to the piston is rotatably and axially unmovably mounted in the cylinder and extends in the hollow rod. A magnetic brake for braking the ball screw shaft is fixed to an end portion of the main body of the cylinder. The number of revolutions of the ball screw shaft is detected and outputted in a signal form by a rotary encoder. A primary solenoid controlled valve reciprocates the piston by connecting a pressure source either to a first or second port of the cyliner, and secondary solenoid controlled valves connect a pressure source either to a first braking pressure port or to a second braking pressure port. A controller outputs a drive signal for controlling the primary solenoid controlled valve, and outputs a primary braking signal and a secondary braking signal according to a corresponding operational section as well as deviation of the number of revolutions of the ball screw shaft from a target value. The primary braking signal switches on or off the secondary solenoid controlled valves to apply back pressure to the piston, and the secondary braking signal is for operting the magentic brake.

    摘要: A fluid pressure actuator includes a lock mechanism for locking the actuator against movement in one end position, and an external lock release lever engageable with an external extension of the lock mechanism for releasing same. The lock release lever is engageable by a lock piston upon application of system pressure thereto to release the lock mechanism. During movement of the lock piston in the unlocking direction, and after disengagement of the lock mechanism, system pressure is ported through the lock piston both to the extend side of the actuator and the opposite end of the lock piston. By using substantially the same size seals on the opposite pressurized side of the lock piston and external extension of the lock mechanism, any effect of fluid pressure acting on such external extension of the lock mechanism is substantially negated. Accordingly, the effective area of the lock piston acted upon by system pressure to release the lock mechanism will remain substantially constant both before and after system pressure is admitted to the extend side of the actuator, whereby the lock is effectively locked open and there is always substantially full flow to the extend side of the actuator despite fluctuations in the extend pressure.
