Abstract:
A pool cleaning robot that may include a filtering unit for filtering fluid; a housing that at least partially surrounds the filtering unit; an impeller configured to induce fluid to pass through the filtering unit when rotated at a first direction; a pump motor for rotating the impeller; a drive system; first interfacing elements that are configured to interface with the pool during at least a part of a cleaning process of the pool; and at least one second interfacing element that extends outside a bottom of the housing without reaching a virtual plane defined by bottoms of at least two of the first interfacing elements.
Abstract:
The present disclosure discloses a winch for vehicles comprising a motor, a motor casing covering at least a part of the motor, a driving shaft drivably connected to the motor, a gear reduction drivably connected to the driving shaft, a first support frame detachably connected to the motor casing, a second support frame detachably connected to the gear reduction unit, and a winding drum arranged between the first support frame and the second support frame. The first support frame comprises a plurality of gripping components which extend from the first support frame to the motor casing and surround an outer surface of the motor casing. The winch as disclosed facilitates mounting and dismounting, and provides improved waterproofness.
Abstract:
A method of connecting a cable of a winch mounted on a front of a vehicle to an object to the rear of the vehicle includes removably placing a first support member including a first cable guide member extending from the first support member on a first surface of the vehicle so that the first support member contacts the surface of the vehicle. The method further include extending the cable from the winch rearward to be seated in the first cable guide member and to extend rearward therefrom. The method also include connecting the cable to the object to the rear of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A winch is described comprising a guide that includes a fairlead for positioning a cable around a rotatable drum, wherein one or more bristles are positioned within an orifice in the fairlead. The bristles may have an angular orientation such that they provide active cable wiping during winding and passive cable wiping during unwinding of the cable around the drum. Active wiping may reduce the likelihood that dirt, mud, debris, and/or other materials accumulate within the winch during winding.
Abstract:
A method for performing a pool exit process for extracting a pool cleaning robot from a pool, the method may include moving the pool cleaning robot at a path that leads outside the pool; and forcing, during at least a part of the moving of the pool cleaning robot, water to exit the pool cleaning robot by rotating an impeller of the pool cleaning robot.
Abstract:
Cable pulling systems and methods of use are provided suitable for trenchless cable pulling applications, including bursting head applications for laying down replacement pipe underground. A chassis is provided that accommodates laterally disposed piston assemblies, both single cylinder and dual cylinder closed path piston assemblies. Also provided are quick release manifolds for cable holding grippers and cable pulling grippers for use with both single cylinder and dual cylinder piston assemblies. A chassis and cable pulling system also are provided for trenchless pipe extraction applications and which accommodate closed path piston assemblies. Small and large pipe diameter bursting head devices also are provided with integrated cable gripping and release assemblies. Also provided are methods for sealing cable ends.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a torque limiter for a power winch, and a torque limit mechanism is installed for timely cut off the power transmission whenever the reverse torque generated by a carrying load exceeds a torque bearable by the power supply during a power transmission process for transmitting the power outputted from a power supply to a reduction mechanism through a long shaft, so as to prevent the power supply from being damaged by overload. The torque limit mechanism is formed by a torsion shaft, a friction plate, a brake pad, a disc-shaped elastic member, an adjustable positioning ring and a positioning screw ring.

Abstract:
A victim retrieval apparatus for use with a vehicle. In some embodiments, the rescue basket comprises one or more wheels. The articulating head of the boom comprises a rotatable pulley for receiving the rescue line and is able to allow the vehicle to be parked in any position necessary while rescuing the victim. A knot-passing pulley enables a safety line (with emergency brake device) to be coupled to the basket thereby ensuring the safety of the victim in the basket at all times. The rescue basket comprises a remote control for controlling the winch speed that is able to be located at the winch itself, or be of a hand-held nature and attached at the rescue basket instead of at the vehicle if visual contact is problematic.
Abstract:
According to one aspect of the invention there is provided a mobile lifting assembly comprising a body frame with one or more wheels for transporting a structural member, and four individually controllable lifting devices connected to the body frame for repositioning (such as raising, lowering, tilting or rolling) of the structural member. According to another aspect of the invention there is provided a mobile lifting assembly comprising a body frame being adapted to locate on a supporting surface, a lifting device connected to the body frame for raising or lowering a structural member, and a skid resting on the supporting surface underneath the body frame and being arranged to contact the body frame to distribute forces imparted by the structural member on the body frame across the supporting surface.
