摘要: Artificial reefs serve a useful purpose to promote the growth of sessile marine organisms such as bacteria, algae, corals, and bryozoans as well as providing a habitat and food source for species such as fish, crabs, lobsters, and some marine invertebrates. This invention applies the United States Environmental Protection Agencies' Twelve Principles of Green Technology to provide a cellulose based surface that is coated in nutrients to promote the rapid growth of marine microbes, the base of the marine food chain. This rapid growth, which begins days after being submerged, starts the food chain. The mineral based substrate attached to the cellulose based material is denser than water to allow the entire structure to sink; both the cellulose and mineral based materials will degrade rapidly leaving behind nucleation sites for microbes, corals, invertebrate collections, and more. The reef is constructed entirely from biodegradable materials and production costs are economical.

摘要: The described invention is an integrated multi-trophic farming process and methods thereof that creates a linkage between aquaculture, hydroponics, agriculture, and algae production. The process and methods described herein enable one skilled in the art of aquaculture, agriculture, hydroponics, and/or algae production to integrate aquaculture practices with their respective industry. The process and methods described within are applied to freshwater, brackish, and/or saltwater aquaculture production systems. The processes and methods described herein enable one skilled in the art to produce fish and/or aquatic animals in conjunction with plant and/or algae crops with less consumption of water, feed, and/or fertilizers when compared to conventional open source farming practices such as but not limited to aquaculture, agriculture, and/or algae production

摘要: An aquarium acclimation device and method reduce stress and shock which may occur during transition of marine livestock including fish, invertebrates, corals, etc., from a store, online, or wholesaler, to an owner's aquarium. The acclimation device includes tubing, a squeeze bulb, a drip counter, and a rolling clamp. A “J” tube is hung over an edge of the aquarium with one end reaching into water in the aquarium and an opposite end hanging outside the aquarium. The squeeze bulb is connected to the outside end of the “J” tube for initiation of a flow of the aquarium water from the aquarium and a clear squeeze bulb may further provide the drip counter. The rolling clamp and drip counter allow a gradual, observable, and controlled flow for a gradual controlled transition to the aquarium environment.

摘要: In a sea cucumber cultivator, sea cucumber cultivation baskets are arranged in multiple layers within a housing to protect the sea cucumbers from the external environment, to enable mass production and easy management of sea cucumbers. An inlet pipe and an outlet pipe are arranged to adjust the inflow and outflow of seawater to and from the housing. Each hose outlet is formed at a center region of a lower surface of a bottom of each sea cucumber cultivation basket in each layer so as to supply food for sea cucumbers to the cultivating spaces formed in the cucumber cultivation baskets arranged in multiple layers. Thus, food is discharged through the hose outlets and settles in the baskets to feed sea cucumbers and to enable sea cucumbers to easily intake food.
