摘要: Lubricating grease composition comprising: (i) a base oil; and (ii) a thickener system comprising (i) a lithium soap of a first carboxylic acid selected from C12-C24 hydroxy carboxylic acids and (ii) a lithium soap of a second carboxylic acid selected from C12-C24 branched carboxylic acids, C12-C24 dihydroxy carboxylic acids and mixtures thereof. The lubricating grease compositions according to the present invention have improved oil bleeding and shear stability properties, as well as improved grease lifetime and increased relubrication intervals.

摘要: Use of a lubricating grease composition in a mass flywheel application wherein the lubricating grease composition comprises: (i) a base oil having a density in the range of from 800 to 1000 Kg/m3; and (ii) a urea compound having a density in the range of from 850 to 1050 Kg/m3; wherein the difference in the densities of the base oil (i) and the urea compound (ii) is less than 50 Kg/m3. The lubricating grease compositions according to the present invention are particularly useful for reducing oil bleeding and for improving shear stability properties in a dual mass flywheel application.

摘要: A Lubricating grease composition comprising a base oil and a thickener system comprising (a) a lithium soap of a C12 to C24 hydroxycarboxylic acid and (b) an alkaline earth metal salt of a C2 to C12 dicarboxylic acid. The lubricating grease compositions exhibit increased water resistance and shear stability together with excellent oil bleeding properties. The lubricating grease compositions also contain lower levels of lithium than are present in a conventional lithium based grease compositions.
