Abstract: A display device includes: a first substrate; a gate line on the first substrate; a gate electrode disposed on the first substrate and protruding from the gate line; a gate insulating layer on the gate line and the gate electrode; a semiconductor layer on the gate insulating layer; and a source electrode and a drain electrode disposed on the semiconductor layer and spaced apart from each other. The gate electrode may include a first conductive layer on the first substrate, and the gate line may include the first conductive layer and a second conductive layer on the first conductive layer.
