Abstract:
A semiconductor memory device having a selective error correction code (ECC) function is provided. The semiconductor memory device divides a memory cell array into blocks according to data retention characteristics of memory cells. A block in which there are a plurality of fail cells generated at a refresh rate of a refresh cycle that is longer than a refresh cycle defined by the standards of the semiconductor device is selected from among the divided blocks. The selected block repairs the fail cells by performing the ECC function. The other blocks repair the fail cells by using redundancy cells. Accordingly, a refresh operation is performed on the memory cells of the memory cell array at the refresh rate of the refresh cycle that is longer than the refresh cycle by the standards of the semiconductor device.

A network control apparatus and method is provided. The method includes operations of informing a server of capability information including an encryption/decryption method, wherein the server provides the network control apparatus with control information used to control a network device using a general-purpose control web application, transmitting to the server a control information requesting message that requests the control information, receiving from the server the control information which has been encrypted using the encryption/decryption method, decrypting the encrypted control information according to the encryption/decryption method, and transmitting a control command for controlling the network device according to the decrypted control information.

Disclosed are an apparatus and method for transmitting information in a Web-based control system. The control target device of the present invention includes a Web server module, a sound information generation module and an independent communication module. The Web server module transmits a Web page required for device control to a control device through a first communication channel. The sound information generation module generates sound information related to an event, occurring according to variation in status of the control target device. The independent communication module transmits the generated sound information to the control device through a second communication channel that is separate from the first communication channel.
Abstract:
A displaying method for a remote controller for remotely controlling a broadcast display apparatus includes displaying information of at least one external device connected to the broadcast display apparatus, transmitting a control command to control a selected external device which is selected from the at least one external device to the selected external device through the broadcast display apparatus, receiving a result of executing the control command of the external device in response to the control command, and displaying the result of executing the control command and a control menu for controlling operation of the selected external device.
