Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) user equipment (UE) may communicate, using a first SIM, on a plurality of component carriers. The multi-SIM UE may select a first subset of component carriers from the plurality of component carriers based at least in part on a component carrier prioritization. The multi-SIM UE may identify an amount of memory available to a second SIM. The multi-SIM UE may tune away, based at least in part on the amount of memory available to the second SIM, from a second subset of component carriers The first subset of component carriers may be different from the second subset of component carriers. Numerous other aspects are described.

A communication device, such as a user equipment may identify a size capability for a buffer associated with a protocol layer of the UE. The buffer may be a layer two buffer and the protocol layer may be a layer two protocol layer. The UE may transmit, to a base station serving the UE, an indication of the identified size capability for the buffer. In some cases, the UE may transmit the indication of the identified size capability in a UE capability report in radio resource control signaling. The UE may then communicate, with the base station 105, data that is scheduled based on the transmitted indication.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for uplink traffic alignment and/or uplink traffic aggregation in wireless communication systems. A user equipment (UE) is configured with a mechanism for signaling uplink transmit opportunities to an application client using an application programming interface (API) disposed between a modem of the UE and the application client that enables uplink traffic generated by the application client to be aligned. The API includes semi-static parameters that may be used when a common timer is configured between the application client and the modem, and/or dynamic parameters that may be used when a common timer is not configured between the application client and the modem. The API may also include an extended signaling scheme that may include no-transmission (No-Tx) indications that indicate intervals during which no transmissions are allowed. These No-Tx parameters apply to the semi-static and/or dynamic signaling scheme.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a method may include simulating a degradation of at least one of a first wireless communication link with a network or a different second wireless communication link with the network based on detecting that a first set of one or more packets, which were received via the first wireless communication link with the network and were added to a packet buffer, and a second set of one or more packets, which were received via the different second wireless communication link with the network and were added to the packet buffer, satisfy a threshold occupancy of the packet buffer. Numerous other aspects are provided.
