    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for synchronized channel access. Some implementations more specifically relate to facilitating coexistence among wireless communication devices that support synchronized channel access and those that do not. A group of access points may schedule periodically recurring, synchronized channel access periods by periodically transmitting quiet elements. The quiet elements establish recurring quiet periods during which legacy devices are not permitted to transmit. In some implementations, an access point may transmit one or more quiet override elements each associated with a respective quiet element and indicating to other access points supporting synchronized channel access that they are permitted to contend for access during the respective quiet period. In some other implementations of synchronized channel access, an access point supporting synchronized channel access that wins contention after one or more consecutive synchronized channel access periods during which no other synchronized access points won contention, may be entitled to an extended TXOP.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for group formation and sounding for distributed multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO). Some implementations include a method of wireless communication. The method includes a sounding preparation phase that includes transmitting, to the plurality of access points, a first frame inviting the plurality of access points to perform a beamformed distributed transmission from the plurality of access points to a group of stations; receiving a second frame from at least one of the plurality of access points based on transmitting the first frame, the second frame including at least one identifier of at least one station in a different basic service set than a basic service set of the first access point; and identifying the group of stations based on the at least one identifier included in the second frame.

    Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method and an apparatus for techniques used for back-to-back uplink transmissions from multiple stations in wireless local area networks (WLANs). An example method includes transmitting, from the AP, a control frame to the plurality of STAs, wherein the control frame contains configuration information related to a plurality of consecutive transmission slots; and receiving, at the AP, back-to-back uplink (UL) response frames from the plurality of STAs in the plurality of consecutive transmission slots. An additional example method includes receiving, at the STA, a control frame from the AP, wherein the control frame contains configuration information related to a plurality of consecutive transmission slots; and transmitting, from the STA, uplink (UL) response frames in one or more transmission slots of the plurality of consecutive transmission slots based at least on the configuration information in the control frame.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for associating a wireless communication device such as a wireless station (STA) of a STA multi-link device (MLD) with an access point (AP) MLD that includes a first AP associated with a first communication link of the AP MLD and includes one or more secondary APs associated with one or more respective secondary communication links of the first AP MLD. The first AP includes one or more virtual APs, and the first AP and the one or more virtual APs of the first AP belong to a first multiple basic service set identifier (BSSID) set associated with the first communication link. The AP MLD transmits a frame including a first element carrying discovery information for the first AP and the one or more virtual APs belonging to the first multiple BSSID set, and including a second element carrying discovery information for the one or more secondary APs of the first AP MLD associated with the one or more respective secondary communication links of the first AP MLD.

    Abstract: An access point (AP) may signal management frames that include two operation information fields indicating two channel widths for different classes of wireless stations (STAs). STAs may identify one of the two operation information fields based on capabilities of the STA (e.g., whether or not the STA is capable of dual band channel bonding, resource unit or physical channel puncturing, etc.). In some cases, one operation information field may indicate a channel width within a first and second frequency band (e.g., within the 5 GHz band and the 6 GHz band), as well as a puncturing scheme associated with the channel width. In some cases, the operation information field may indicate a dual band channel bonding configuration, where two frequency segments associated with the channel bonding configuration are in two different frequency bands. In some cases, a tightened spectral mask may be used for such dual band channel bonding configurations.

    Abstract: One innovative aspect of the subject matter described in this disclosure may be implemented in a method for wireless communication. The method may be performed, for example, by a first multi-link device (MLD), that includes a first station (STA) and a second STA, to generate and provide block acknowledgment (BA) status reports for Medium Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Units (MPDUs) transmitted by the first STA of the first MLD and the second STA of the first MLD. Another innovative aspect of the subject matter described in this disclosure may be implemented in a method for wireless communication. The method may be performed, for example, by a logical entity of a first MLD to receive and process a BA status report.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for low density parity check (LDPC)-based incremental redundancy (IR) hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmission processing. In one aspect, an apparatus for wireless communications is configured to generate a first packet using a LDPC encoding process. The apparatus is further configured to generate coded bits using a second LDPC encoding process if the first packet is not successfully decoded by a wireless device, generate a second packet including at least some of the coded bits generated using the second LDPC encoding process, and output the second packet for transmission.
