Abstract:
A method and apparatus of internal measurement of voltage standing wave ratio in a transmitter includes providing power to hardware comprising the transmitter, transmitting a signal from the transmitter, sampling the signal in both a transmitted feedforward direction toward an antenna and a reflected direction from the antenna, and computing in a processor associated with the transmitter the voltage standing wave ratio on the basis of the feedforward and reflected sampled signals. A method of calculating a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) in a transmitter includes storing, in a memory associated with a processor associated with the transmitter, a captured feedforward signal from the transmitter to an antenna, storing, in the memory, a captured feedback signal reflected from the antenna, and calculating the VSWR in the processor on the basis of the stored transmitted and reflected signals.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus correlates the feedback signal to a reference transmit signal to correct time misalignments between the transmit chain and the feedback loop, wherein the reference transmit signal is generated in digital domain at an input to a transmit chain and estimates a transmit signal quality value based on the correlation.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to electronic components and, more particularly, to radio frequency front-end (RFFE) circuitry. One example apparatus may include a controller configured to: determine a first calibration point and a second calibration point for an amplifier, wherein the first calibration point is associated with a first supply voltage for the amplifier, and wherein the second calibration point is associated with a second supply voltage for the amplifier; and determine an operating point for the amplifier by interpolating based on the first calibration point and the second calibration point, the operating point being associated with a third supply voltage. The apparatus may also include an interface configured to control a power supply to provide the third supply voltage associated with the operating point for the amplifier.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments are related to power amplifier power level compensation in a pre-distortion system. A method may include applying digital pre-distortion (DPD) of a power amplifier at a frequency channel, a fixed input power value, and a fixed temperature. The method may also include determining an optimal input power value for the power amplifier in response to a change in at least one of frequency and temperature.
