Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for providing driver assistance in a vehicle. A driver assistance apparatus includes a stereo camera configured to acquire stereo images of a view ahead of a vehicle, and a processor configured to generate a depth map based on the acquired stereo images and to determine whether a road segment that is within the view ahead of the vehicle is an uphill road segment or a downhill road segment based on the generated depth map.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle driving assistance device and a vehicle having same. The vehicle driving assistance device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a stereo camera; an interface unit exchanging data with at least one device inside a vehicle; and a processor performing lane detection for a first region in front of the vehicle based on a stereo image received from the stereo camera, and deducing lanes for a second region in front of the vehicle based on map information from an interface unit. Accordingly, the lanes in front of a vehicle can be perceived based on a captured image.

Abstract: A vehicle driving control apparatus includes an object detection unit configured to detect an object located outside a vehicle; and at least one processor configured to provide a first control signal and a second control signal based on information regarding the object detected by the object detection unit. The at least one processor provides the first control signal and the second control signal by: based on the information regarding the object, providing the first control signal to cause one of an increase or a decrease in a speed of the vehicle during a first time period; and based on the information regarding the object and based on the first control signal provided during the first time period, providing the second control signal to cause the other of the increase or the decrease in the speed of the vehicle during a second time period.
