Abstract: A receiving device determines that a first PHY needs to be added to a first FlexE group in a working state. The receiving device performs a deskew on the first PHY or each PHY in the first FlexE group based on a received data stream corresponding to the first PHY and a received data stream corresponding to each PHY in the first FlexE group, and restores a data stream corresponding to a client from a PHY in the first FlexE group. If a skew between the data stream corresponding to the first PHY and the data stream corresponding to each PHY in the first FlexE group after the deskew is performed is zero, the receiving device restores a data stream corresponding to a client from a PHY in a second FlexE group so that flexibility of adjusting a PHY in a FlexE group in a working state is improved.

Abstract: A block generation method and apparatus, and a block receiving method and apparatus are disclosed. The block generation method includes: generating a first block and a second block, where the first block includes a first block unit, the second block includes a second block unit, a first indicator is configured in the first block unit, and the first indicator is used to indicate whether the second block unit is a control code; and sending the first block and the second block. According to this method, an indicator is configured in a block unit in the first block to indicate whether an adjacent block is a control code, so that a boundary between a control code and a data code is determined, thereby avoiding extra indication information for an indication and reducing overheads of the indication information.

Abstract: An example exchange method includes: receiving, through a first interface, M bits; after receiving the M bits, receiving M bytes through the first interface, wherein each of the M bits indicates a status of a corresponding byte in the M bytes; encapsulating, based on the M bits corresponding to the M bytes, L bytes of the M bytes to obtain L encapsulated bytes, wherein M and L are integers greater than or equal to 1, and L is less than M; exchanging the L encapsulated bytes to a second interface; decapsulating the L encapsulated bytes to obtain L decapsulated bytes; and sending the L decapsulated bytes through the second interface.

Abstract: A service flow adjustment method and a communication apparatus are provided. Slot adjustment information is carried in a client signal flow sent between nodes, so that times at which all nodes on a network switch slot configuration can be unified, to avoid service damage in a process of adjusting a network transmission bandwidth. The method includes: A first node receives a first client signal flow from a second node by using N slots of a first bundling group; and after first duration starting from a time at which the first node detects slot adjustment information, the first node receives the first client signal flow from the second node by using M slots of the first bundling group.
