Abstract:
Provided a proof of play (PoP) method of a digital signage terminal and a digital signage server, the PoP method of the digital signage terminal including obtaining a digital signature and a PoP message generation policy provided by a content owner, generating log data comprising information on a play of at least one piece of content, based on the PoP message generation policy, generating a PoP message using information on the digital signature based on the generated log data, and providing the PoP message to at least one of the digital signage server and the content owner.
Abstract:
Provided are method and apparatus for transmitting session-related parameters required for controlling session maintenance to a multicast agent in a relayed multicast network. The session manager in the relayed multicast network generates control data containing at least one of a T_PPROBE field, an N_PPROBE field, a T_HB field, a N_HB field, a T_HSOLICIT field, an N_HSOLICIT field, a T_HANNOUNCE field, a N_HANNOUNCE field, a T_RELAY field, an N_RELAY field, and a T_LEAVE field, and transmits the generated control data to the multicast agent. Accordingly, relayed multicast service can be provided for each session by setting session-related parameters for each session in a relayed multicast network and transmitting them to a multicast agent.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a display device connection method for rapidly delivering data to a plurality of display devices. A peer-to-peer (P2P) overlay network including the plurality of display devices as member peers is configured to distribute content. In this case, an overlay management server (OMS) connects first member peers through a network as a tree topology using a source peer providing the content as a root node, and transmits fragments of the content to a child peer based on a number of peers to which each of the member peers is capable of transmitting the fragments of the content for a preset period of time, and the source peer directly transmits the fragments of the content to a second member peer that is not included in the tree topology among the member peers based on a predetermined limit on a hop count.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a method of adaptively delivering media based on reception status information from a media client and an apparatus using the same. A media transmission method by a media transmission apparatus may include sending a message, including configuration information for media requested by a terminal, to the terminal, sending a media packet forming the media to the terminal, selecting a media packet having a transport characteristic corresponding to reception quality information for the media packet received from the terminal based on the reception quality information, and sending the selected media packet to the terminal.

Abstract:
A peer-to-peer network system provides at least one peer with information for configuration of a peer-to-peer network to optimize the configuration of the peer-to-peer network by using at least one of information about a status of the at least one peer, information about a status of an underlying network and information about a user in respect of services.
