Abstract: A first device is used to execute a first application for conducting a video call. The first application displays a video stream of the video call on a display screen of the first device using voice data and video data captured by the first device. When a first trigger condition is detected, either by the operating system of the first device or by the operating system of the first application, the first device transfers the display of the video stream of the video call to a second device. Although the video stream is being displayed on the second device, the first application continues to use the first device to capture the voice data and the video data for the video call. At the same time, the first device is displaying the video stream on the second device, the first device is also displaying application data corresponding to a second application.

Abstract: Methods and user equipment devices (UEs) are disclosed for performing keep alive interval fallback. During an active connection with a remote network, a UE may operate in a steady state configuration wherein keep alive message are periodically sent to the remote network. The UE may determine that a keep alive message has failed to receive an acknowledgement (ACK) response. Based on the determination that the keep alive message has failed, the UE may trigger keep alive interval fallback, wherein the UE sends keep alive messages at a shorter duration for a predetermined period of time.

Abstract: Devices, methods, and non-transitory program storage devices are disclosed to enable the automatic establishment of a secure audio/video data streaming connection between electronic devices. For example, a first electronic device may enter into a first state of a peer device advertising protocol, and then, based on a determination that the first electronic device meets a first set of device state criteria (e.g., including at least an orientation state criterion), the first electronic device may enter into a second (e.g., enhanced) state of the peer device advertising protocol. In response to detecting a presence of a second electronic device in its proximity, the first electronic device may connect to the second electronic device via a secure peer-to-peer connection protocol and then send one or more images captured by a first image capture device of the first electronic device to the connected second electronic device via the secure wireless peer-to-peer connection protocol.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to multiway communications. In some embodiments, a first electronic device initiates a multiway call between a plurality of electronic devices and exchanges a first secret with a first set of electronic devices participating during a first portion of the multiway call, the first secret being used to encrypt traffic between the first set of electronic devices. The first electronic device receives an indication that first set of participating electronic devices has changed and, in response to the indication, exchanges a second secret with a second set of electronic devices participating during a second portion of the multiway call, the second secret being used to encrypt traffic between the second set of participating electronic devices. In some embodiments, the indication identifies a second electronic device as leaving the multiway call, and the second secret is not exchanged with the second electronic device.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) device and associated methods for entering a suspended baseband state in response to a signal strength indicator falling below a threshold. A UE engages in an active connection with a remote server, which may be a transmission control protocol (TCP) push connection. A baseband layer of the UE determines that the signal strength indicator has fallen below a threshold, and transmits a notification to an application layer of the UE to suspend the connection. The baseband layer may later determine that the signal strength has risen above a second threshold, whereby the UE may resume the suspended connection. The UE may maintain state information associated with the connection during the suspended state, such that the UE may resume the suspended connection without reestablishing a new connection with the remote server.
