A method for preventing snow from melting and for packing a snow cover in an artificial ski facility, by injecting dry air or low-temperature air to permeate through a snow cover of an artificial ski facility. The entirety of the snow cover can be effectively cooled to reliably prevent snow from melting and to pack the snow cover as well. If high-temperature air is injected before the injection of the low-temperature air, the low-temperature air is permeated effectively and formation of frozen snow is prevented by the high-temperature air injected thereafter. In these methods, snow can be prevented from melting and the packing of the snow cover can be achieved more effectively, if the dry air, the low-temperature air, and the high-temperature air are injected from the bottom of the snow cover, through a header having a plurality of air injecting outlets. The header is preferably constructed in a tortuous or snake-shape or in a lattice, on a platform of the ski facility.

A method for artificially producing snow, which is used for an indoor skiing facility. The method comprises maintaining an inside temperature of the indoor skiing facility of 0.degree. C. or less and blowing air and water with an air-water ratio of 300 to 3000 Nm.sup.3 /m.sup.3 in volume from a plurality of two-fluid spraying nozzles to generate and spread waterdrops of a particle size of 5 to 200 .mu.m, into the indoor skiing facility. The spray nozzles are disposed adjacent an upper portion of a cover enclosure of the indoor skiing facility. An apparatus for artificially producing snow. The apparatus comprising an indoor skiing facility having a floor and a cover enclosure comprising a ceiling and side walls. The cover enclosure and the floor are made from an insulating material. Holes are provided for blowing cold air into the indoor skiing facilities. The holes for blowing air are disposed adjacent an upper portion of the cover enclosure. Holes are provided for exhausting air from the indoor skiing facilities. The holes for exhausting air are disposed adjacent a comparatively lower portion of the side walls of the cover enclosure. The above-mentioned molding material comprises 50% by weight or more of a polyphenylene ether resin, electroconductive carbon, an acid imide compound which can be used depending upon an intrinsic viscosity of the polyphenylene ether resin, a high-impact polystyrene resin and an A--B--A' type block copolymer elastomer.
