一种车辆控制装置具备：电流检测元件，其对向搭载在车辆上的车载设备供给电源的线束中流动的电流进行检测；基准温度生成部，其使用搭载在车辆上的多个温度传感器中的规定的温度传感器的检测值或规定的值得到基准温度；温度推定部，其使用电流检测值和基准温度值来推定线束的温度；切断判定部，其根据推定温度进行切断判定；以及切断元件，其根据切断判定部的判定来切断流过线束的电流。由此，能够在没有专用的温度传感器的情况下进行车辆控制。
