The actuator locking mechanism is a bi-directional secondary load path lock that operates under both compression and tension loads via a radial locking wedge and axial slide lock system. This locking mechanism is designed to effectively protect against structural disconnect after a primary load path failure occurs and to minimize the axial play in the engaged secondary load path. To avoid the dormancy of such a failure, the activated mechanism jams/stalls the actuator drive thereby alerting the aircrew and the maintenance crew of the fault condition and allowing safe continued flight and landing. This locking mechanism is impervious to relative deflection between the primary and secondary load path such that under a non-failed condition, the mechanism will not jam. A jam only occurs when axial displacement (tension or compression direction) is greater than a predetermined relative deflection. This axial displacement is eliminated by the slide locking system minimizing the axial play. The makeup of this radial locking design also features a cageless roller implementation which captures the rollers within the features of the V-shaped ramp design.

The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a gyratory cone crusher as well as a hydraulic circuit suitable for carrying out the method. A crusher comprises an inner crusher shell and an outer crusher shell, which define a crusher gap, and the crusher gap size is maintained by means of a hydraulic cylinder, and, in case the hydraulic liquid pressure exceeds a pressure threshold, hydraulic liquid is evacuated from the cylinder to increase the crusher gap size. The method involves carrying out detection of a tramp iron processing condition, implying that matter which the crusher cannot process has enter the gap. If such a condition is detected, the pressure threshold is lowered during a period of time. This means that the crusher gap is opened quicker, such that the matter that cannot be crushed is removed from the crusher, which is thereby protected from potentially detrimental impacts.

In accordance with certain embodiments, the present invention provides a modular approach to a lubrication package. Certain components such as the filter and cooler are directly connected to a block that has connections to accept them and internal porting to establish the proper flow paths for circulation, cooling and filtration of the circulating lubricant. The block can accept one or more coolers and one or more filters. The isolation valving for redundant equipment can also be integrated into the block. A two stroke engine of a particular configuration can have its power output increased by running bigger pistons and using ports in the piston skirt through which to conduct compressed air within the skirt through short passages in the cylinder housing that conduct the air from within the skirt to above the piston. As a result a larger piston can be used for the same spacing and opening size in the block to save the need to redesign the block and the crankshaft. A position adjuster for the piston moves it axially without rotation of the piston ports out of alignment with inlet ports in the housing. The piston rod is held in the crosshead using a flat to prevent rotation while an adjuster nut that is turned creates axial movement in the piston rod with a lock nut securing the final piston position.

A process and apparatus is provided for burning liquid ammonia in an energy device such as a diesel engine, boiler or gas turbine. In particular, the process and apparatus include mixing a renewable fuel with a low flame speed and high ignition temperature, e.g., ammonia, with a combustible liquid fossil or bio-fuel and supplying the mixture into a closed fuel loop where part is efficiently burned in an engine combustion chamber, and part is used to cool the engine and returned by the loop for mixture with fresh incoming fuel mixture. The invention provides for the mixing and emulsifying in such a way that vapor lock is avoided. In the loop, the mixture is emulsified into a disperse distribution of fuel droplets such that upon injection of a portion into the combustion chamber, the renewable fuel in an emulsified droplet evaporates, mixes with the air and forms a small combustion cell surrounding the liquid fuel droplet. The fuel droplet burns and then serves as an ignition kernel for the gas mixture in the small combustion cell producing efficient and rapid combustion of the renewable fuel. The fuel loop allows the fuel system to automatically scale for engines varying in power output from 1 to 35,000 horsepower.

The efficiency of compressed air vehicle is enhanced by adapting the compressed air storage tank with a Magnus rotor that creates lift so as to reduce the effective weight of the tank during operation. A compressed air tank has an outlet in fluid communication with the inlet of a compressed air motor. Air leaving the compressed air motor is caused to flow across the Magnus rotor whereby lift is generated to counter gravitational force thereby reducing the effective weight of the system. A battery powered electric fan has an inlet disposed to draw air across the Magnus rotor thereby increasing the velocity of the air so as to maximize the Magnus effect. A thermoelectric cooler transfers heat across the compressed air motor, i.e. from air exiting the compressed air motor outlet, to the air entering the compressed air motor inlet, whereby the temperature of the air entering the compressed air motor is increased resulting in increased pressure. Conversely, transferring heat from the air exiting the compressed air motor and prior to flowing across the Magnus rotor, increases the density of the air flowing across the Magnus rotor so as to maximize the efficiency of the Magnus effect. Finally, the fan has an output in fluid communication with the input of a compressor, which re-compresses the air and delivers the re-compressed air to the storage tank.

A monitor agent monitors every write request for files that are capable of being patched (executable files). Once a write request is requested for one of these files, the agent creates a copy of the file and also saves the original file version number. If the program that is requesting the write access has not been digitally signed then that program is flagged as being suspicious. The write request is allowed to proceed and the file is modified by the requesting program. After the modification, if the file version number is not higher then the write is flagged as being suspicious. If both the requesting program has been flagged as suspicious and the file version number has been flagged as suspicious, then the requesting program is labeled as being malware. The monitor agent restores the modified file using the original copy. If either the requesting program is flagged as suspicious or the file version number is flagged as suspicious, then the requesting program is labeled as being suspicious.

Systems and methods are provided for fine level access control over message content in an electronic messaging system. Access criteria associated with the message content define requirements that a user must satisfy in order to perform specified actions on message content. The user's complete profile is examined at run time and compared to access criteria to make a real time decision about the level of access that a user should have to message content. Depending on the access criteria associated with content, stronger authentication or weaker authentication of the user profile information may be performed on the user profile to determine the level of access that should be granted to the user.

Directories in a file system are defined with a dummy cluster in a file allocation table as the initial entry. Subsequent clusters in a directory's definition may define any data for the directory that can be changed in a transaction-safe mode. A directory may be modified in a transaction-safe mode by modifying any of the subsequent clusters while tracking changes in a second file allocation table. When the changes have been made to the directory, a pointer to the second file allocation table may be switched to indicate that the second file allocation table is now last known good. The first file allocation table may then be synchronized with the second.

An electronic exchange system network includes a trader site having an automated trading system capable of submitting orders to an exchange site. The automated trading system determines whether an order should be submitted based on, for example, the current market price of an option and theoretical buy and sell prices. The theoretical buy and sell prices are derived from, among other things, the current market price of the security underlying the option. A look-up table stores a range of theoretical buy and sell prices for a given range of current market price of the underlying security. Accordingly, as the price of the underlying security changes, a new theoretical price may be indexed in the look-up table, thereby avoiding calculations that would otherwise slow automated trading decisions. Other techniques may be used in addition or in the alternative to speed automatic decision-making. In addition, a system of checks may be conducted to ensure accurate and safe automated trading. The automated trading system may be capable of automatically submitting orders in connection with the underlying security in order to hedge part of the delta risk associated with the automated option trades.
