Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to identify user presence to a meter. An example apparatus includes memory, instructions, and at least one hardware processor to execute the instructions to at least: obtain presence information from a configuration device, the configuration device separate from the apparatus, the presence information indicating that user is present at the apparatus; verify the presence information matches user information, the user information stored in a memory of the apparatus; cause a confirmation prompt to be displayed on the configuration device, the confirmation prompt to indicate the presence information was obtained by the apparatus; and store the presence information in memory.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques that enable a categorization controller to detect activation of a portable recording device that is configured to capture a real-time multimedia stream of the current event. The categorization controller may further identify a set of categories that are likely associated with the real-time multimedia stream, determine an ordered ranking of the set of categories, and generate a ranked category dataset for delivery to the portable recording device. In doing so, the portable recording device may present the ordered ranking of the set of categories at a user interface.

Abstract: In one aspect, an example method to be performed by a vehicle-based media system includes (a) receiving audio content; (b) causing one or more speakers to output the received audio content; (c) using a microphone of the vehicle-based media system to capture the output audio content; (d) identifying reference audio content that has at least a threshold extent of similarity with the captured audio content; (e) identifying a geographic location associated with the identified reference audio content; and (f) based at least on the identified geographic location associated with the identified reference audio content, outputting, via the user interface of the vehicle-based media system, a prompt to navigate to the identified geographic location.

Abstract: An information processor includes: a user information acquiring unit acquiring user information for identifying a user; a display; a viewing time measuring unit measuring a viewing time during which a previously-registered user views contents information on the display; and a controller. The controller determines whether the user is the registered user, based on the user information and registered user information for identifying the registered user. When the user is the registered user, the controller causes the display to display the contents information, causes the viewing time measuring unit to measure the viewing time, compares a cumulative viewing time that is a total of the viewing times cumulated within a period of time with a viewing limit time that is a previously-set upper limit of the cumulative viewing time, and gives the registered user a warning when the cumulative viewing time is equal to or longer than the viewing limit time.

Abstract: Generative media content (e.g., generative audio) can be dynamically generated based on various inputs, which can include blockchain data. A playback device accesses blockchain data stored via a distributed ledger and generates media content based at least in part on the blockchain data. The playback device can access a library of pre-existing media segments and arrange a selection of pre-existing media segments from the library for playback according to a generative media content model and based at least in part on the blockchain data. The generated media content can then be played back via the playback device.

The ordering method includes: determining a service identifier corresponding to a playback timestamp of a sequence associated with the service, the playback timestamp of the sequence associated with the service having been determined as a function of a timestamp of an order signal for purchasing a service, the order signal having been generated by a human-machine interface and transmitted by the human-machine interface to a management server distinct from a terminal receiving the multimedia data stream; the service identifier making it possible to generate a signal to save the purchase.

Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for transferring an interactive feature from a first device to a second device. Two users may be consuming a media asset. Upon receipt of a command to active an interactive feature, a determination is made whether a user who did not activate the interactive feature is interested in the media asset. Upon that determination, a timer is activated that tracks an amount of time for which the interactive feature is active and a determination is made whether a threshold time period has been met. Once the threshold time period is met, a device associated with the user that activated the interactive feature is identified and the users are prompted to transfer the interactive feature to the device.

Abstract: Example methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture (i.e., physical storage media) to perform media source detection based on frequency band selection and processing are disclosed. Example meters disclosed herein are to compare a first audio signal from a monitored media device with a second audio signal from a first one of a plurality of media sources in communication with the monitored media device to determine a sequence of match results, the first audio signal associated with media presented by the media device. Disclosed example meters are also to compute a standard deviation of time delays associated with respective ones of the match results. Disclosed example meters are further to determine whether the first one of the media sources is a source of the media presented by the monitored media device based on the standard deviation.

Abstract: In accordance with some implementations of the disclosed subject matter, mechanisms for presenting recommended media content items are provided. In some implementations, a method for providing media guidance is provided, the method comprising: receiving a request for supplemental content relating to a program being presented by a media device; causing a content interface to be presented on a mobile device; identifying the program that is being presented on a media device; determining keywords associated with the program, wherein each of the keywords is associated with a particular portion of the program; obtaining and storing supplemental content items corresponding to the program based on the keywords; causing the content interface to present a first supplemental content item; receiving state information associated with the mobile device that indicates a subsequent visit to the content interface; and causing the content interface to present a second supplemental content item based on the state information.
