摘要: Certain examples described herein relate to decoding a video stream within a browser. An encoded multi-layer video stream is received in a source buffer. An encoded base stream is extracted from the source buffer and decoded using a markup video element to obtain a decoded base stream. The decoded base stream is rendered in a first markup video display region, wherein the first markup video display region is hidden. An encoded enhancement stream is extracted from the source buffer and decoded to obtain a decoded enhancement stream. The decoded base stream is obtained from the first markup video display region and combined with the decoded enhancement stream to generate a reconstructed video stream, which is rendered in a second markup video display region that is visible within the browser.

The methods and apparatus are well suited for delivery and playback of content corresponding to a 360 degree environment and can be used to support streaming and/or real time delivery of 3D content corresponding to an event, e.g., while the event is ongoing or after the event is over. Portions of the environment are captured by cameras located at different positions. The content captured from different locations is encoded and made available for delivery. A playback device selects the content to be received based in a user's head position.

摘要: A method comprising: encoding an input picture into a coded constituent picture;
reconstructing, as a part of said encoding, a decoded constituent picture corresponding to the coded constituent picture; encoding a spatial region into a coded tile, the encoding comprising: determining a horizontal offset and a vertical offset indicative of a region-wise anchor position of the spatial region within the decoded constituent picture; encoding the horizontal offset and the vertical offset; determining that a prediction unit at position of a first horizontal coordinate and a first vertical coordinate of the coded tile is predicted relative to the region-wise anchor position, wherein the first horizontal coordinate and the first vertical coordinate are horizontal and vertical coordinates, respectively, within the spatial region; indicating that the prediction unit is predicted relative to a prediction-unit anchor position that is relative to the horizontal and vertical offset; deriving a prediction-unit anchor position equal to sum of the first horizontal coordinate and the horizontal offset, and the first vertical coordinate and the vertical offset, respectively; and determining a motion vector for the prediction unit; and applying the motion vector relative to the prediction-unit anchor position to obtain a prediction block.-

摘要: A video encoder or video decoder can be configured to obtain multi-layer video data that includes at least a first layer and a second layer; determine a layer identification value for the first layer and a layer identification value for the second layer, wherein the layer identification value for the second layer is higher than the layer identification value for the first layer; store decoded pictures of the first layer and decoded pictures of the second layer in a decoded picture buffer; and in response to determining that a picture of a layer is an instantaneous decoding refresh (IDR) picture, remove from the decoded picture buffer, all decoded pictures of a layer the IDR picture belongs to, while leaving in the decoded picture buffer all decoded pictures with layer identifications lower than a layer identification of the layer the IDR picture belongs to.

摘要: Embodiments include an overlay multicast network. The overlay multicast network may provide a set of features to ensure reliable and timely arrival of multicast data. The embodiments include a congestion control system that may prioritize designated layers of data within a data stream over other layers of the same data stream. Each data stream transmitted over the network may be given an equal share of the bandwidth. Addressing in routing tables maintained by routers may utilize summarized addressing based on the difference in location of the router and destination address. Summarization levels may be adjusted to minimize travel distances for packets in the network. Data from high priority data stream layers may also be retransmitted upon request from a destination machine to ensure reliable delivery of data.
