摘要: An image forming apparatus includes circuitry. The circuitry extracts a colorimetric area from an image formation area based on designation according to an operation by a user, the image formation area in which an image as a print target is to be formed. The circuitry calculates a color difference between a first page and a second page subsequent to the first page based on a colorimetric value in the extracted colorimetric area and to determine whether to continue printing according to the calculated color difference.

摘要: Methods and systems for training and utilizing an artificial neural network (ANN) are provided. In an example method, a computing device could receive an input image comprising a plurality of channels and determine a saliency map for the input image. The computing device could also establish at least one of the plurality of channels as a training channel and at least some of the plurality of channels as one or more ground truth channels. Further, the computing device could train an ANN to predict one or more output channels from the one or more training channels, where the training involves computationally updating weights of the ANN based on a loss function that comprises a difference between the one or more output channels and the one or more ground truth channels, and where the difference is computationally biased based on values from the saliency map.

摘要: An image reading apparatus of an embodiment includes a reading unit and a controller. The reading unit simultaneously reads a plurality of documents on a document table and generates an overall scan image as color image data including images of all the documents in the plurality of documents. The controller is configured to isolate an image of each document from the overall scan image, perform a color determination on each of the isolated images to determine if the document corresponding to the isolated image is a color document or a non-color document, and encode each of the isolated images with an image encoding method selected based on the color determination for the isolated image.

摘要: An image processing apparatus includes a processor. The processor is configured to execute a program to generate a post-color conversion image from a pre-color conversion image using a color conversion model, calculate a color conversion precision of the post-color conversion image using a precision of the color conversion model, specify a region, the color conversion precision of which is equal to or less than a threshold, and display, of the post-color conversion image, a post-color conversion image, the region of which with the color conversion precision being equal to or less than the threshold has a size that is larger than a criterion determined in advance.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a process for printing comprising the steps of selecting eight or fewer process colors from a known process ink color set, providing a color channel for the selected process colors from the known process ink color set, providing two or more spot color channels, wherein one or more of spot colors correspond to a non-selected process color of the process ink color set, applying a first ink limit and a first linearization to the one or more spot color channels to produce a color set including the non-selected process color of the known process ink color set, applying a second ink limit and a second linearization to the one or more spot color channels to produce a color set including the spot color, and optionally printing an image.
