    Abstract: A transmission code processing device includes: a signal point arrangement shaping encoding unit to perform conversion into a shaped bit of mi column; a systematic error correction encoding unit to generate a parity bit of mp column based on the shaped bit; a first symbol mapping unit to convert the shaped bit into a first modulation symbol; a second symbol mapping unit to convert the parity bit into a second modulation symbol; and a symbol multiplexing unit to multiplex the first and second modulation symbols, in which the first modulation symbol has one element in a first signal point set including ci signal point including an origin, the second modulation symbol has one element in cp signal point not including the origin, and the signal point arrangement shaping encoding unit performs signal point arrangement shaping in which the first modulation symbol has one element in the first signal point set.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for transducing and storing qubit signals are provided. The system includes a voltage source, a substrate, and a membrane suspended over the substrate. A phononic crystal oscillator is disposed in a first region of the membrane. The phononic crystal oscillator includes a capacitor having a moving electrode including an array of multiple phononic crystal unit cells. The moving electrode is connected to the voltage source. A superconducting circuit disposed in a second region of the membrane. A plurality of phonon shields and an optical resonator may also be disposed on the membrane.

    Abstract: An IC-TROSA optical network system includes an IC-TROSA device that is included in a coherent optical transmitter device on a transmitter device and that is coupled to at least one optical network to couple the transmitter device to at least one receiver device. The IC-TROSA device includes a quadrature optical modulator subsystem having a first optical directional coupler device with a first transmit connection that receives first optical signals from the quadrature optical modulator subsystem and transmits the first optical signals via the first transmit connection to the at least one receiver device via the at least one optical network, and with a second transmit connection that receives second optical signals from the quadrature optical modulator subsystem and transmits the second optical signals via the second transmit connection to the at least one receiver device via the at least one optical network.

    Abstract: A Mach-Zehnder (MZ) modulator includes a splitter, two modulation arms, and a coupler. The two modulation arms include two optical transmission waveguides and two electrodes. The splitter is configured to perform power splitting on an optical carrier to obtain two optical carriers and input the two optical carriers to corresponding input ports of the two optical transmission waveguides, respectively. The two electrodes include a first electrode and a second electrode which are respectively configured to receive two differential electrical signals and apply the two differential electrical signals to the two optical transmission waveguides to change phases of the two optical carriers. Two input ends of the coupler are connected to output ports of the two optical transmission waveguides, respectively, and are configured to perform interference on the optical carriers whose phases are changed via the two modulation arms and output the optical carriers.
