    摘要: A method of manufacturing a terminal-equipped electrical wire includes: inserting a core-wire exposed part of a core wire of an electrical wire at a terminal between inner wall surfaces of a pair of piece parts of a terminal fitting including a core-wire connection body formed of a bottom part and the piece parts protruding from both ends of the bottom part, and placing the core-wire exposed part on an inner wall surface of the bottom part; melting the core-wire exposed part and the core-wire connection body by emitting a laser beam to the core-wire exposed part and the core-wire connection body from a free end side of each piece part; and fixing the core-wire exposed part and the core-wire connection body melted by the laser beam, with the emission of the laser beam stopped.

    摘要: This disclosure provides a method and apparatus for connecting and disconnecting a first wire to a second wire. More specifically, an apparatus that includes a first electrical contact, a second electrical contact, an insulated housing, and a male contact prong (i.e., a shunt) is disclosed. In an embodiment, the first and second electrical contacts conductively connect with a first and second wire, respectively, via an insulation displacement connector. Furthermore, the male contact prong conductively connects (i.e., shunts) the first and second electrical contacts together. A wire-to-wire contact with shunt allows for two wires to be quickly and efficiently connected and disconnected.

    摘要: A single element electrical connector includes a single conductive contact element formed into a cage structure having a wire insert end and a wire contact end along a longitudinal centerline axis of the connector. The cage structure defines an upper pick-up surface having a surface area suitable for placement of a suction nozzle of a vacuum transfer device, as well as a pair of contact tines biased towards the centerline axis to define a contact pinch point for an exposed core of a wire inserted into the connector. A contact surface is defined by a member of the cage structure for electrical mating contact with a respective contact element on a component on which the connector is mounted.
