摘要: There is provided a stored value card validation system. The system includes a stored value card having a plurality of activation states including an activated state where the card can be utilised in a purchase transaction and an unactivated state where the card cannot be utilised in a purchase transaction. The stored value card includes a single unique encrypted token, along with a predefined card value in the form of a monetary amount and a card identifier which are both contained in the encrypted token. The system also includes a token reader for retrieving the encrypted token from the stored value card. Further, the system includes a token validator in communication with the token reader for receiving the encrypted token and using the encrypted token to validate the predefined card value and the card identifier. The token validator includes a plurality of databases for storing card value information and card identifier information, wherein the predefined card value and the card identifier are each validated based on the card value information and card identifier information, most notably, when the stored value card is in the unactivated state.

摘要: A card having an antenna, one or processors, and memory having stored thereon a first application and a second application configured to receive an input of the card and determine a request associated with the input. The card is further configured to activate, responsive to determining that the request is consistent with a contactless EuroPay-MasterCard-Visa (EMV) data standard, the first application. The first application is configured to communicate, via near field communication (NFC), data to the communicating device via the antenna based on the EMV data standard for payment purposes. The card is further configured to activate, responsive to determining that the request is consistent with a near field communication data exchange format (NDEF) standard, the second application. The second application is configured to communicate, via NFC, data to the communicating device via the antenna based on the NDEF standard for verification/identification purposes.

摘要: A system and method are provided for authorizing temporary use of accounts. The method is executed by a system and includes detecting that an account holder has selected a payment card to be shared with a recipient, the payment card being associated with an account. The method also includes determining a spending limit for the payment card by the recipient that has been set by the account holder and generating a pending transaction for the payment card with an amount corresponding to the spending limit and against which purchases made by the recipient are deducted. The method also includes providing the recipient with an electronic mechanism to add a temporary payment card to an application on a mobile device associated with the recipient, the temporary payment card being linked to the account to have purchases made using the temporary payment card be applied to that account. The method also includes detecting a purchase made by the recipient using the temporary payment card and modifying the pending transaction details based on the detected purchase.

摘要: Delegated administration of permissions using a contactless card. In one example, a permissions module may receive a request from a first account to grant a second account access to a computing resource. The permissions module may receive permissions data of the first account from a contactless card and encrypted data generated by the contactless card. The permissions module may transmit the permissions data and the encrypted data to an authentication server, which may verify the encrypted data based at least in part on the private key, and determine, based on the permissions data, that the first account has permissions to grant access to the computing resource. The permissions module may receive, from the authentication server, an indication of the verification of the encrypted data and a permissions vector associated with the second account, the permissions vector reflecting the grant of access to the computing resource to the second account.
