    Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) device includes a circuit comprising pipeline stages, and a controller circuitry configured to: load a static value into each of the pipeline stages based on a change in a clock enable (CE) signal, and sequentially deactivate each of the pipeline stages after a quantity of cycles of a reference clock signal that occur after the change of the CE signal, wherein the quantity of the cycles of the clock signal is based on a quantity of the pipeline stages.

The display is configured to be seen through the front plate, and includes a first and second surface. The middle plate is disposed between the display and the rear plate, and includes a surface facing the display, and a recess. The adhesive layer is attached to the display, and the support layer is disposed between the adhesive layer and the middle plate. The coating layer is disposed between the support layer and the adhesive layer and is disposed in a first portion overlapped with the recess when viewed from the display.

    Abstract: A computer system, computer readable storage medium, and computer-implemented method for detecting if one or more processing devices have separately sourced power feeds. The method includes determining transmission of a first signal in a first electric path. The method also includes monitoring for a second signal in a second electric path that is different from the first electric path. The method further includes determining, subject to the monitoring, electrical isolation between the first electric path and the second electric path. The claimed computer-implemented method dynamically, and automatically, determines that power sources are separate, isolated, and redundant.

    Abstract: A device suspension method and a computing device are provided. In the method, before a device enters a suspended state, memory space occupied by a background process that is unrelated to a foreground process is released. In this way, the background process unrelated to the foreground process is not saved in a memory of the device. In other words, it reduces data stored in the memory when the device is suspended. Therefore, when the device needs to be woken up, only a relatively small amount of data needs to be read from the memory, and a working state can be rapidly restored. This can reduce a delay of reading data from the memory when the device is woken up, thereby accelerating a wakeup speed of the device. In addition, the data is stored in the memory when the device is suspended.

    Abstract: An agent on a terminal send an instruction to firmware on a miscellaneous board of the terminal. The instruction includes a time period during which power to the terminal and peripherals of the terminal are to be powered off. The agent sends an instructions to a core of a motherboard of the terminal to perform shutdown operations in anticipation of the terminals and peripherals being powered off. In response to the instruction received, the firmware monitors the core for a state indicating that the core is shutdown, the firmware sets a timer to the time period, and causes power to be cut between the motherboard and a power supply unit of the terminal. When the timer expires, the firmware re-establishes power between the motherboard and the power supply unit causing the core to initiate the proper sequence of operations to start up the terminal and the peripherals.

    Abstract: A receiver detection system includes a media access control (MAC) circuit, a common-mode voltage detector, and a receiver detector. The common-mode voltage detector is configured to detect whether a common-mode voltage satisfies a voltage condition, and to send a ready signal to the receiver detector after the common-mode voltage satisfies the voltage condition. The receiver detector is configured to start a detection process according to the ready signal and a detection start signal from the MAC circuit. In the detection process, the receiver detector sends out a detection signal for detecting whether a receiver exists, and then outputs a detection result to the MAC circuit, wherein the detection result indicates whether the receiver exists. The receiver detection system can prevent the receiver detector from starting the detection process before the common-mode voltage satisfies the voltage condition.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for managing settings based upon Information Handling System (IHS) motion using heterogeneous computing platforms are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, an IHS may include a heterogeneous computing platform and a memory coupled to the heterogeneous computing platform, where the memory comprises a plurality of sets of firmware instructions, where each of the sets of firmware instructions, upon execution by a respective device among a plurality of devices of the heterogeneous computing platform, enables the respective device to provide a corresponding firmware service, and where at least one of the plurality of devices operates as an orchestrator configured to: identify an IHS motion, at least in part, upon context or telemetry data received from at least a subset of the plurality of devices; and trigger a modification of an IHS setting based, at least in part, upon the identification.

    Abstract: Reducing power consumption in an electronic device can include analyzing device usage data associated with the device to predict an extended period of user inactivity, the usage data including at least one of historical usage data and present usage signals and entering an enhanced reduced power state by implementing one or more power saving optimizations for at least a portion the extended period of extended user inactivity, the one or more power saving optimizations slowing, delaying, or interrupting one or more normal activities normally performed by the device. The method can further include exiting the enhanced reduced power state by suspending the one or more power saving optimizations. Exiting the enhanced reduced power state can be performed in response to at least one of: user activity; a specified user routine; or a time predicted by the analyzing device usage data.
