摘要: Provided are a wavelength selective switch capable of dealing with a broadband wavelength range with reduced crosstalk and an optical cross-connect device including the wavelength selective switch. The wavelength selective switch includes an optical input port; an optical output port; a wavelength dispersion unit that spatially separates light incident from the optical input port for each of wavelengths and emits the separated light such that an emission angle of the incident light varies for each of predetermined wavelength ranges; and a deflection unit that couples light incident from the wavelength dispersion unit to the optical output port by deflecting the incident light such that a reflection angle or a transmission angle of the incident light is variable for each of wavelengths, in which the wavelength dispersion unit includes a wavelength dispersive element and a position control mechanism that reversibly changes a position or an angle of the wavelength dispersive element or both the position and the angle with respect to the optical input port.

摘要: A camera sub-assembly for a vehicular camera includes a cylindrical lens barrel and a lens holder. The cylindrical lens barrel is received in a cylindrical lens barrel receiving structure of the lens holder. An axial face of an annular flange of the cylindrical lens barrel is juxtaposed with an axial face at the outer end of the cylindrical lens barrel receiving structure of the lens holder with an adhesive disposed therebetween. An imager is disposed at a first side of an imager printed circuit board, which is attached at the lens holder. With the cylindrical lens barrel held in position relative to the imager by the adhesive, a frontmost optical element of a plurality of optical elements accommodated by the cylindrical lens barrel is distanced further from the imager than any other optical element of the plurality of optical elements. The frontmost optical element may be a glass lens element.

摘要: There is provided a lens barrel from which stable operation feeling of an operation ring is obtained regardless of part accuracy. A stop ring (6) is provided with a ring-shaped multipolar magnet (12) that is magnetized to have multiple poles at regular angular intervals in a circumferential direction. A stationary frame (7) is provided with a sheet metal part (13). The sheet metal part (13) includes a body portion (24A) and a protrusion portion (13B). The body portion (24A) is disposed on a flange (8) of the stationary frame (7), and the protrusion portion (13B) is disposed on the outer periphery of the stationary frame (7). The stop ring (6) is click-stopped at regular angular intervals by a magnetic attractive force acting between the multipolar magnet (12) and the protrusion portion (13B) of the sheet metal part (13). Further, the stop ring (6) is attracted to the flange (8) of the stationary frame (7) by the magnetic attractive force acting between the multipolar magnet (12) and the body portion (24A) of the sheet metal part (13), so that backlash is removed.

The method further includes establishing a wireless connection between the pair of glasses and the earbud, and detecting a position of the earbud relative to the pair of glasses. The method further includes, when the earbud is detached from the pair of glasses, deactivating the first speaker in the pair of glasses, and activating the second speaker after the earbud is detached from the pair of glasses.

摘要: Blazed diffraction gratings provide optical elements in head-mounted display systems to, e.g., incouple light into or out-couple light out of a waveguide. These blazed diffraction gratings may be configured to have reduced polarization sensitivity. Such gratings may, for example, incouple or outcouple light of different polarizations with similar level of efficiency. The blazed diffraction gratings and waveguides may be formed in a high refractive index substrate such as lithium niobate. In some implementations, the blazed diffraction gratings may include diffractive features having a feature height of 40 nm to 120 nm, for example, 80 nm. The diffractive features may be etched into the high index substrate, e.g., lithium niobate.
