摘要: A method for generating an image of an object with a magnetic resonance imaging (MM) system is presented. The method includes first performing a calibration scan of the object. The calibration scan is performed with a zero echo time (ZTE) radial sampling scheme to obtain calibration k-spaces for surface coil elements and a body coil of the MRI system. The calibration scan is performed in such a manner that the endpoints of calibration k-space lines in each calibration k-space follow a spiral path. A plurality of calibration parameters are then obtained from the plurality of calibration k-spaces. A second scan of the object is then performed to acquire the MR image data. The image of the object is then generated based on the plurality of calibration parameters and the MR image data.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for managing and reducing the severity or impact of a collision involving an apparatus secured to a table associated with a medical imaging and/or therapeutic gantry. Example systems are provided in which an apparatus is secured to the table such that a distal region of the apparatus extends beyond a longitudinal end of the table. A pivot joint associated with the apparatus is provided such that when a collision between the distal region of the apparatus and an object occurs due to motion of the table, the resulting force causes the apparatus to rotate relative to the pivot joint, thus passively accommodating the applied force and preventing, or reducing the likelihood of, mechanical buckling of the apparatus in the presence of the force. In some example embodiments, the apparatus is configured to rotate and/or translate as a result of the force applied during the collision.

摘要: An apparatus to directly detect solids formation in a fluid under known pressure and temperature conditions is disclosed. The apparatus includes a vessel having an electromagnetic resonant cavity defined by an upper portion, a lower portion and a gap defined therebetween, the gap having resonant properties sensitive to the presence of a solid phase therein. The upper portion or the lower portion may be provided with a passage extending therethrough in fluid communication with an inlet to allow ingress of a stream of fluid to the gap and thereby purge solids from the cavity subsequent to solids formation.
The apparatus also includes one or more probes, one or more sensors and a signal processor operatively connected to said sensors and said one or more probes to directly detect solids formation in the fluid within the cavity in response to detected changes in the resonant properties of the cavity.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a method for acquiring a dental object of a patient with an object volume, in particular at least a part of a skull, an upper jaw and/or a lower jaw. To do so, a plurality of segment volume ranges are defined in the object volume, where the segment volume ranges overlap at most partially and directions of the segment volume ranges are not parallel to one another. The image data of the segment volume ranges is recorded by an MRI machine within a measuring volume of the MRI machine A two-dimensional composite image is generated from the image data of the individual segment volume ranges by projecting the image data onto a target plane. The target plane is disposed parallel to a defined midsagittal 10 plane of the skull or corresponds to the midsagittal plane, where a first segment volume range at least partially includes the midsagittal plane of the skull.

摘要: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence-based Parkinson's disease diagnosing apparatus and method. An artificial intelligence-based Parkinson's disease diagnosing apparatus which is an aspect of the present disclosure includes an image acquiring unit which acquires a first image related to a multi-echo magnitude and phase from an MRI obtained by capturing a brain of a patient; an image processing unit which post-processes the acquired first image so as to observe a substantia nigra and a nigrosome-1 region used as imaging biomarkers of the Parkinson's disease; an image analyzing unit which analyzes the post-processed first image to classify a second image including the nigrosome-1 region and detects the nigrosome-1 region from the classified second image; and a diagnosing unit which diagnoses whether the patient has the Parkinson's disease by analyzing whether the detected nigrosome-1 region is normal, in which the image processing unit generates a susceptibility map weighted imaging image by applying a quantitative susceptibility map mask to the first image based on a quantitative susceptibility mapping algorithm to perform the post-processing and the image processing unit further performs at least one operation of angle adjustment, image enlargement, and reslice, on the generated susceptibility map weighted imaging image.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to systems, apparatuses, and methods for detecting and correcting for patient respiration within a medical magnetic localization system. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, a system is disclosed for detecting patient respiration in a magnetic field for localization of an intravascular catheter. The system including a magnetic field generator and a magnetic reference sensor. The magnetic field generator generates the magnetic field for localization of the catheter within the patient. The magnetic reference sensor includes sensor coils that have a longitudinal axis, sense the magnetic field aligned with the orientation of the sensor coil, and output an electrical signal indicative of the sensed magnetic field. The magnetic reference sensor is positioned within the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generator, and the longitudinal axis of each sensor coil is non-parallel relative to an axis of the generated magnetic field.
