    Abstract: A computer-implemented method of reducing noise and artifacts in medical images is provided. The method includes receiving a series of medical images along a first dimension, wherein the signals in the medical images having a higher correlation in the first dimension than the noise and the artifacts in the medical images. The method further includes, for each of a plurality of pixels in the medical images, deriving a series of data points along the first dimension based on the series of medical images, inputting the series of data points into a neural network model, and outputting the component of signals in the series of data points. The neural network model is configured to separate a component of signals from a component of noise and artifacts in the series of data points. The method further includes generating a series of corrected medical images based on the outputted component of signals.

    Abstract: A method for generating an image of an object with a magnetic resonance imaging (MM) system is presented. The method includes first performing a calibration scan of the object. The calibration scan is performed with a zero echo time (ZTE) radial sampling scheme to obtain calibration k-spaces for surface coil elements and a body coil of the MRI system. The calibration scan is performed in such a manner that the endpoints of calibration k-space lines in each calibration k-space follow a spiral path. A plurality of calibration parameters are then obtained from the plurality of calibration k-spaces. A second scan of the object is then performed to acquire the MR image data. The image of the object is then generated based on the plurality of calibration parameters and the MR image data.

    Abstract: A method of controlling magnetic resonance (MR) image data acquisition includes generating a plurality of one-dimensional (1D) navigator profiles reflecting motion of an anatomic boundary region of an imaging subject over time at a measurement interval, and then generating a plurality of navigator image segments each for a corresponding 1D navigator profile of the plurality of 1D navigator profiles. A navigator image is then generated based on the plurality of navigator image segments, and a determination is made whether to acquire MR image data based on the navigator image.
