Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a sensor assembly including a substrate having an outer region, an inner region, and a middle region between the outer region and the inner region. The substrate further includes electrical contact pads on at least the inner region. The sensor assembly further includes a housing coupled to the substrate at the middle region or the outer region to provide a hermetic seal. The sensor assembly further includes a sensor die bonded to the substrate at the inner region. A metal bond bonds electrodes of the sensor die to the electrical contact pads. The metal bond includes platinum, and/or one or more metals selected from tin, indium, copper, aluminum, and/or nickel.

Abstract: A flow sensor sub-assembly for sensing flow of a fluidic medicament includes a flow tube having a flow tube inlet and a flow tube outlet, and an acoustical transmission rate. The medicament flows through the flow tube. A first piezo element is arranged at an upstream position of the flow tube and a second piezo element is arranged at a downstream position of the flow tube, such that the first piezo element and the second piezo element are mounted apart a pre-selected distance from each other. An absorber sheath encircles the flow tube. The absorber sheath has an upstream end and a downstream end. The absorber sheath is comprised of a material with an acoustical transmission rate different than the flow tube.

Abstract: A flow sensor sub-assembly for sensing flow of a fluidic medicament is disclosed. The flow sensor sub-assembly includes a first spring contact and a second spring contact. The spring contacts are secured to a base that has a circuit for conducting an electrical signal to and from the spring contacts to a microprocessor. The first spring contact is in electrical communication with a first piezo element and the second spring contact is in electrical communication with a second piezo element. The first spring contact has a first contact force against the first piezo element and the second spring contact has a second contact force against the second piezo element, and the first and second contact forces are equivalent. A circuit board for interfacing to a flow sensor having a plurality of piezo elements for transmitting a flow signal indicative of flow of fluidic medicament is also disclosed.

Abstract: An airflow sensor includes a sensing circuit module having a circuit board and a sensing component, a first sealing piece and a second sealing piece. The first sealing piece is disposed to cover at least a part of a first surface of the circuit board. The second sealing piece is disposed to cover at least a part of a second surface opposite to the first surface. A first accommodating cavity is formed between the first sealing piece and the circuit board. The sensing component is received in the first accommodating cavity. The first sealing piece includes a first waterproof air-permeable portion. A connecting soldering pad electrically connected with the sensing component is disposed at the circuit board. The airflow sensor is electrically connected with other circuitry components through the connecting soldering pad. The connecting soldering pad is not covered by either the first sealing piece or the second sealing piece.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a flowmeter for monitoring physical parameters of fluid passing through the flowmeter. The flowmeter being installed in a plant and communicatively connected through a gateway device to a server having a virtual model. The flowmeter comprising: a processing unit for computing a first processed data of a physical parameter associated with the fluid measured by the flowmeter. The flowmeter receives a second processed data from the server having the virtual model, wherein the virtual model provides the second processed data by computing the second processed data based on the first processed data and data from at least one sensor provisioned in the plant. The present invention also provides for a system for monitoring physical parameters of fluid passing through a pipe in a plant with the flowmeter.

Abstract: A flow sensor sub-assembly includes a flow tube having a lumen, an outside diameter, a first end, and a second end. An inlet fitting includes a conical orifice sized for insertion in either end of the flow tube, such that an internal passage of the inlet fitting is coaxial and concentric with the lumen and the end of the flow tube abuts a shoulder. A first piezo element integrated with the inlet fitting is arranged at an upstream position of the flow tube assembly and a second piezo element integrated with the outlet fitting is arranged at a downstream position of the flow tube assembly.
