摘要: A system for separating drill cuttings from a drilling fluid and transporting the drill cuttings from a wellbore includes a multi-chambered collection bin defining a first chamber and a second chamber therein separated by a screen partition. An unloading bulk conveyor is operably coupled to the first chamber for unloading drill cuttings from the first chamber and a suction pump is operably coupled to the second chamber for drawing drilling fluid from the second chamber. Drill cuttings may be unloaded from the first chamber onto a transport vehicle for delivery to a disposal site. The drilling fluid may be pumped from the second chamber and recirculated through the wellbore.

摘要: A method for determining a screen break includes receiving a fluid stream from a screen system of a fluid system into a screen break detector, wherein the screen system comprises at least one screen, and the screen break detector comprises a sample screen. The method also includes monitoring a fluid pressure of the fluid stream flowing through the sample screen of the screen break detector and detecting a condition of the at least one screen of the screen system based on the fluid pressure and one or more pressure thresholds. The method also may include outputting a notification of the condition of the at least one screen of the screen system. A system includes a screen break detector. The screen break detector includes a sample screen configured to receive a fluid stream from a screen system of a fluid system, wherein the screen system includes at least one screen and a pressure detector configured to monitor a fluid pressure of the fluid stream flowing through the sample screen.

摘要: The present invention addresses to the use of a viscous fluid in continuous pumping to contain the saline dissolution in a homogeneous way (not limited to just one type of evaporite), highlighting the results of seawater with viscosifiers, due to its simplicity, and that does not have the same impact on the logistical chain as a brine supply. The increase in fluid viscosity limits the diffusion of salt into the medium and thus better contains the dissolution of the well walls, while also promoting a laminar flow regime in the annulus of the well, variables desired to achieve the quality of the operation of cementation. The employment of viscous fluid concentrates allows “on the fly” dilutions with the in-line seawater fraction mixture. The technique can also employ solutions of pre-dispersed viscosifying additives which, when added to seawater, result in a substantial increase in the volume of drilling fluid produced, no longer limited by the unit tank capacity. This allows drilling large extensions of salt. The low salinity viscous fluid is used in drilling operations without fluid return to the drilling rig (riserless) in the presence of a predominantly saline formation, aiming at preserving the phase diameter and improve well construction conditions.

摘要: Methods and systems for removing drilling fluid from wet drill cuttings are described. According to some embodiments, the method comprises: at a pressure above atmospheric pressure: using an internal combustion engine, combusting an air-fuel mixture comprising air and a hydrocarbon-based fuel, thereby producing a combustion exhaust at a first temperature; providing the combustion exhaust to the wet drill cuttings to contact and directly heat the wet drill cuttings by convection so that at least some fluid is evaporated therefrom and at least some dry solid drill cuttings remain, the evaporated fluid comprising drilling fluid and water; condensing at least a portion of the evaporated fluid to produce condensed drilling fluid, water and non-condensable inert gas; and separately recovering the condensed drilling fluid, the water and the dry solid drill cuttings.

摘要: An apparatus includes a materials separator that includes a continuous filter belt disposed around a plurality of rollers. The apparatus also includes a pressure differential system operatively coupled to the separator and configured to adjust a pressure differential across the continuous filter belt. A vacuum is applied to the continuous filter belt and a fluid portion of the slurry on the continuous filter belt is drawn through the continuous filter belt. An apparatus includes a materials separator having a first deck with a first continuous filter belt and a second deck with a second continuous filter belt.
