Abstract: A control system for use at a mobile device to control a digital key system of a vehicle, wherein the digital key system is implemented according to a predetermined vehicle digital key specification to enable one or more vehicle functions to be performed at the vehicle without using a physical key for the vehicle, and wherein the control system, when executed by a processor of the mobile device, is arranged to: communicate, in accordance with the predetermined vehicle digital key specification, with the digital key system via at least one short range communication protocol to cause performance of at least one of the one or more vehicle functions; and provide a secured software runtime environment at the mobile device for the control system to perform one or more secured operations, the one or more secured operations including the control system acting as a software root of trust, in accordance with the predetermined vehicle digital key specification, for performance of at least one of the one or more vehicle functions.

Abstract: A rules optimizer for optimizing one or more operations at a facility, the rules optimizer configured to: receive an event update associated with an upcoming operation scheduled at the facility; generate a set of potential scheduling decisions associated with the upcoming operation, wherein generating the set of potential scheduling decisions is based at least in part on historical data stored at the non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, and wherein generating the set of potential scheduling decisions is based at least in part on the received event update; select a scheduling decision from the set of potential scheduling decisions; and update a schedule associated with the facility in view of the selected scheduling decision; and transmit a notification to a vehicle providing information associated with the updated schedule, the vehicle adjusting an action in response to the updated schedule.

Abstract: A system for controlling access to a restricted area in a building includes a sliding door system and a controller. The sliding door system has a door frame and a sliding door which can be moved in the door frame between a closed position and an open position. The door frame has a passage region and a wall shell region which at least partially accommodates the sliding door in the open position. The sliding door has an end face which faces the passage region in the open position. The controller has a processor unit and a sensor unit. The controller is designed to generate an alarm signal if a height of an object in the passage region, as determined by the sensor unit, deviates from a height range stored for the object.

Abstract: An automatic door can include a plurality of millimeter wave (mmW) sensors that are each configured to sense a door area. Each mmW sensor includes a mmW radar configured to capture mmW radar data and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) configured to measure an orientation of the mmW radar. Based on IMU data from the mmW sensors, the mmW radar data from the sensors can be combined so that the door areas can form a combined door area. Multiple targets can be detected and tracked through the combined door area at high resolutions and in a variety of environmental conditions. Control of the automatic door can be enhanced in a variety of ways by classifying the targets and predicting their movements in the combined door area. Further, the classification and prediction of targets can facilitate safe and reliable operation by filtering operation based on certain targets and/or motions.

Abstract: A method and an assembly for pivoting a movable component having a drive device with an electric drive motor in order to influence a pivoting of the component between a first setting and a second setting. A position sensor detects a position measure for a setting of the component and a speed parameter for a displacement speed of the component. During a displacement of the component with the speed parameter, an electrical setpoint current intensity for the electric drive motor is ascertained, and an associated setpoint voltage is set. The setpoint voltage is increased if a current intensity flowing through the drive motor is lower than the electrical setpoint current intensity, and the setpoint voltage is reduced if the current intensity flowing through the drive motor is higher than the electrical setpoint current intensity.

Abstract: A warehouse dock door control system (101) has a system controller (147), an interior side unit (144), an exterior side unit (142) comprising a key repository and a key detector. The key detector is configured to detect and identify a specific vehicle key having unique identification data associated therewith. The key detector is configured to detect the presence of the key within the key repository and to read the identification data associated therewith. The controller is configured to use the identification data to determine whether the vehicle key is an authorised vehicle key. In response to the determination, the controller communicates with the interior side unit to authorise opening of the dock door and controls the exterior side unit to secure the vehicle key in the key repository to inhibit removal therefrom until a signal is received indicating that a loading or unloading process is complete.

Abstract: In one aspect, a method is provided for controlling access to a facility including a movable barrier and a plurality of loading docks. The method includes receiving, from a user device associated with a vehicle, a check-in communication that includes a check-in identifier. The method includes receiving a verification communication that verifies a presence of the vehicle relative to a sensor associated with the movable barrier. The method further includes causing a movable barrier operator associated with the movable barrier to move the movable barrier between closed and open positions in response to the check-in identifier indicating authorization to access the facility and in response to receiving the verification communication. Further, the method includes selecting a particular loading dock from the plurality of loading docks and communicating a loading dock identification representative of the particular loading dock to the user device to direct the vehicle to the particular loading dock.
