    摘要: A display device with a high aperture ratio is provided. The display device includes, in a pixel, a first transistor, a second transistor, a first insulating layer, a second insulating layer, a conductive layer, a pixel electrode, a layer containing a liquid crystal material, and a common electrode. The first insulating layer is positioned over a channel formation region of the first transistor. The conductive layer is positioned over the first insulating layer. The second insulating layer is positioned over the first transistor, the second transistor, the first insulating layer, and the conductive layer. The pixel electrode is positioned over the second insulating layer, the layer containing a liquid crystal material is positioned over the pixel electrode, and the common electrode is positioned over the layer containing a liquid crystal material. The common electrode overlaps with the conductive layer with the layer containing a liquid crystal material and the pixel electrode therebetween. The pixel includes a first connection portion where the conductive layer is electrically connected to the first transistor and a second connection portion where the pixel electrode is electrically connected to the second transistor. The conductive layer, the pixel electrode, and the common electrode each have a function of transmitting visible light.

    摘要: A laminate including a vertically oriented liquid crystal cured film and a horizontally oriented phase difference film is provided. The vertically oriented liquid crystal cured film is a cured product of a polymerizable liquid crystal composition containing a polymerizable liquid crystal compound and a dichroic coloring matter. The composition includes, as the dichroic coloring matter, at least one type of dichroic coloring matter having maximum absorption between a wavelength of 400 nm and a wavelength of 750 nm. The vertically oriented liquid crystal cured film is a cured product of the polymerizable liquid crystal composition that is cured in a state in which the polymerizable liquid crystal compound is oriented in a vertical direction with respect to a flat plane of the liquid crystal cured film, and satisfies the following formula (1) and the following formula (2):

    0.001≤AxC≤0.3  (1);

    AxC(z=60)/AxC>2  (2).

    摘要: Some variations provide an oligomer composition comprising: polarizable first thermotropic liquid-crystal oligomer molecules (preferably urethanes or ureas) containing first triggerable reactive end groups, wherein the first triggerable reactive end groups are selected from the group consisting of hydroxyl, isocyanate, blocked isocyanate, acrylate, epoxide, amine, vinyl, ester, thiol, conjugated diene, substituted alkene, furan, maleimide, anthracene, and combinations thereof, and wherein the polarizable first thermotropic liquid-crystal oligomer molecules are characterized by a weight-average molecular weight from about 200 g/mol to about 10,000 g/mol; optionally, a plurality of polarizable second thermotropic liquid-crystal oligomer molecules containing second triggerable reactive end groups, wherein the second triggerable reactive end groups are capable of reacting with the first triggerable reactive end groups; and optionally, a reactive coupling agent capable of reacting with the first triggerable reactive end groups. Methods are described for converting the oligomer composition into an anisotropic thermally conductive polymer. Many commercial uses are disclosed.

    摘要: A liquid crystal polyester comprising a repeating unit derived from an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid. The content of the repeating unit derived from an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid is 80% or more based on 100% of a total number of all repeating units of the liquid crystal polyester. The repeating unit derived from an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid comprises a repeating unit (A1) represented by the formula (A1) and a repeating unit (A2) represented by the formula (A2). A ratio [repeating unit (A2)/repeating unit (A1)] is 1.2 or larger. A molar ratio [phenolic hydroxyl groups/(the phenolic hydroxyl groups+acyl groups)] is 0.3 or lower, as calculated by 1H-NMR.

    摘要: Provided is a three-dimensional (3D) helical-artificial-fibrous-muscle structured tubular soft actuator (HAFMS-TSA), a manufacturing method therefor and an application thereof. Fibrous liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) oligomers with weak crosslinked networks formed through chemical crosslinking reactions are mechanically oriented and stretched. The stretched fibrous LCE oligomers are winded onto a 3D mandrel for secondary assembly, then a 3D helical fibrous architecture is obtained, and the contacted fibrous LCE oligomers are bonded through chemical crosslinking reactions. The 3D helical tubular soft actuator is obtained after removing the mandrel. Multimodal reversible deformations of the 3D HAFMS-TSA upon external stimuli can be achieved by adjusting and controlling winding angles, formulations of liquid crystal materials and stretching ratios of the fibers. Advantages of well-defined degrees of design freedom and programmable-adaptive 3D deformations are achieved. The technology has wide application prospects in the fields of interactive soft robots, soft pumps, artificial muscles, bionic intelligent systems, etc.
