摘要: Therapeutic compositions and/or formulations are provided, comprising: at least one cross-linked protein matrix, wherein the at least one cross-linked protein matrix comprises at least one protein residue and at least one saccharide-containing residue, and methods of producing the same. The cross-linked protein matrix may be derived from cross-linking a full length or substantially full length protein, such as tropoelastin, elastin, albumin, collagen, collagen monomers, immunoglobulins, insulin, and/or derivatives or combinations thereof, with a saccharide containing cross-linking agent, such as a polysaccharide cross-linking agent derived from, for example, hyaluronic acid or a cellulose derivative. The therapeutic compositions may be administered topically or by injection. The present disclosure also provides methods, systems, and/or kits for the preparation and/or formulation of the compositions disclosed herein.

摘要: There are provided a porous water-soluble nonionic cellulose ether having an average pore size of 36 μm or smaller and an average particle size of from 30 to 300 μm; and a method for continuously producing said cellulose ether comprising the steps of: pulverizing a first water-soluble nonionic cellulose ether to obtain a first pulverized product, and sieving the pulverized product through a sieve having an opening of from 40 to 400 μm to obtain a first residue-on-sieve and a first sieve-passing fraction, wherein a portion or all of the first residue-on-sieve containing particles having particle sizes smaller than and greater than the opening of the sieve is re-pulverized together with a second water-soluble nonionic cellulose ether in the step of pulverizing to obtain a second pulverized product, which is pulverized to obtain the cellulose ether as a second sieve-passing fraction containing the re-pulverized particles.

摘要: Provided is a process for reducing the size of ethylcellulose polymer particles comprising (a) providing a slurry comprising (i) water (ii) said ethylcellulose particles, wherein said ethylcellulose polymer particles have D50 of 100 μm or less; (iii) surfactant comprising 1.2% or more anionic surfactants by weight based on the solid weight of said slurry, with the proviso that if the amount of anionic surfactant is 2.5% or less by weight based on the solid weight of said slurry, then said surfactant further comprises 5% or more stabilizers by weight based on the solid weight of said slurry, wherein said stabilizer is selected from the group consisting of water-soluble polymers, water-soluble fatty alcohols, and mixtures thereof. (b) grinding said slurry in an agitated media mill having a collection of media particles having a median particle size of 550 μm or smaller. Also provided is a dispersion made by such a process.

摘要: There is provided a method for producing a low polymerization degree cellulose ether having a less yellowish appearance and having excellent long-term storage stability through depolymerization of a high polymerization degree cellulose ether with an acid and without requiring an additive other than the acid. More specifically, there is provided a method for producing a low polymerization degree cellulose ether, including a step of depolymerizing a high polymerization degree cellulose ether with an acid to obtain a low polymerization degree cellulose ether mixture and a step of neutralizing the acid present in the low polymerization degree cellulose ether mixture, wherein ultraviolet is applied in the step of depolymerizing or between the steps of depolymerizing and neutralizing.

摘要: A process includes: (a) providing an initial cellulose ether powder containing 0.5 to 10 weight-percent water based on total cellulose ether powder weight; (b) heating the initial cellulose ether powder to a temperature in a range of 30 to 130 degrees Celsius; (c) before, during and/or after heating in step (b), adding solid base to the cellulose ether powder and mixing with the initial cellulose ether powder to form a cellulose ether/base mixture; (d) adding volatile acid to the cellulose ether/base mixture and mixing; and (e) allowing the volatile acid to hydrolyze the initial cellulose ether to form a final cellulose ether having a lower viscosity than the initial cellulose ether.

摘要: Provided is a method for efficiently and continuously producing a cellulose ether containing a reduced amount of indissoluble component. Specifically, the method includes a contact step of bringing pulp into contact with an alkali metal hydroxide solution in the presence of a heat removal solvent to obtain alkali cellulose; a reaction step of subjecting the alkali cellulose to a reaction with an etherifying agent; a partial condensation step, after completion of the reaction, of partially condensing a gas present in a reaction vessel used for the reaction to separate the gas into gas and liquid components for returning some or all of the gas component to the contact step for reuse as some or all of the heat removal solvent; and a step of incinerating the liquid component and, when all of the gas component is not returned to the contact step, the remainder of the gas component.
