摘要: A lacing system configured to selectively adjust the size of an opening on an object and allow for the incremental release of the lace within the lacing system. The lacing system can have a reel comprising a housing, a spool supported by the housing, and a knob supported by the housing. The reel can be configured so that cable is gathered in the channel formed in the spool when the spool is rotated in a first direction relative to the housing, and so that cable can be incrementally released from the spool when the spool is rotated in a second direction relative to the housing. In some embodiments, the reel can include a rotation limiter which can be configured to prevent over-tightening of the lacing system and/or to prevent rotation past the substantially fully loosened state.

摘要: A reel based closure device includes a housing, a spool positioned within the interior region of the housing, a knob that is operably coupled with the spool and with the housing, and a rotation control component that is operably coupled with the knob. The knob is rotatable in a tightening direction to cause the spool to rotate within the housing and thereby wind the tension member about the spool. The knob is also rotatable in a loosening direction to cause the spool to rotate in an opposite direction within the housing and thereby unwind the tension member from about the spool. The rotation control component is configured to prevent accidental loosening of the tension member by inhibiting rotation of the knob in the loosening direction until a sufficient rotational force is exerted on the knob in the loosening direction.

摘要: A method and device are disclosed for driving a fish tape. In some embodiments, a portion of the fish tape is loaded into a driver device. Optionally, an actuator connected to the driver device moves the tape longitudinally with respect to the driver device. For example, a distal portion of the tape and/or a distal tip thereof is driven out from and/or into an exit opening of the driver device. Optionally by retaining exit opening of the driver device near an opening of a conduit, the driver drives the distal tip of the tape into or out of the conduit. In some embodiment the tape is driven by a friction wheel. In some embodiment, power is supplied by a power tool (e.g. a power screwdriver) that is reversibly attached to the driver.

The spindle comprises a clutch surface and translates along the dispensing axis, and the biasing unit biases the spindle along the dispensing axis away from the frame. Mounting the keyed end of the roll onto the mount pushes the spindle towards the frame to increase a normal force between the clutch plate and the clutch surface.

摘要: A tension brake assembly includes a frame, a plurality of brake pad assemblies, and a hub configured to be coupled to a rotating component. The hub includes a plurality of drive pins adjacent an annular wall. A rotor engages the plurality of drive pins such that rotation of the hub causes rotation of the rotor while permitting axial movement relative to the annular wall. The rotor has friction surfaces for engagement with the brake pad assemblies. An actuator is provided. Movement of the actuator in a first direction moves the friction components together in the axial direction to increase friction exerted by the tension brake assembly. Movement of the actuator in a second direction moves the friction components away from one another in the axial direction to decrease friction exerted by the tension brake assembly.

Thus, the entirety of the device can be configured flat, and can be thinned. Moreover, the magical planetary gear mechanism 4 prevents rotation of the spool 3 by external force, and therefore, looseness of the elongated member can be reduced.
