    摘要: A sealing method that uses an electrostatic energy storage welding machine which includes an energy storage section including a plurality of energy storage parts is provided. A method of sealing a liquid inlet port of a power storage device includes burring in advance a through-hole of the liquid sealing port to raise a hole edge of the through-hole into a form of a projection, wherein the liquid sealing port of the power storage device to be sealed with electrolyte contained therein corresponds to an object to be welded; placing a spherical body that is a lid body on the projection; and performing resistance welding between the projection and the spherical body to seal the liquid inlet port.

    摘要: An economical capacitor-type welding device and capacitor-type welding method that have a small power loss, that can be made compact, and that reliably control a charging circuit without being affected by the inductance of a charging path. In an exemplary capacitor-type welding device and an exemplary capacitor-type welding method of the invention, a bypass switching element having a forward-blocking function is connected in parallel to output terminals of a charging circuit, and the bypass switching element is brought into a conduction state to allow a backflow current, which is caused to flow by a magnetic energy stored in the inductance of a primary winding or an inductor included in the charging path, to bypass the charging circuit. A discharge switching element is brought into a conduction state after the bypass switching element enters the non-conduction state and recovers the forward-blocking function.

    摘要: A discharge welding system for discharge welding a welding member such as a stud to a weld surface such as a battery terminal or strap. The discharge welding system generally includes a power source which is electrically connected to both a clamp and a retainer such as a collet. The clamp is utilized to secure a conduction member such as a washer against a weld surface such as a battery terminal or strap. The retainer is utilized to removably retain a welding member such as a stud which is adapted to be welded to the weld surface. A weld actuator is adapted to lower the retainer such that the welding member contacts the conduction member to complete an electrical circuit as an electrical current is discharged by the power source. The welding member is welded to the weld surface by the electrical current discharge.

    摘要: A torque transmitting assembly is provided. The torque transmitting assembly includes a generally cup shaped outer shell having a closed end and an open end. The closed end has at least one raised portion formed therein. The outer shell includes an outwardly extending lip surrounding the open end of the outer shell. The open end of the outer shell is adapted to be operatively engaged with a first rotating member. A generally disk shaped inner member has a central aperture and a central axis. The inner member includes at least one tab extending axially outwardly therefrom and engages the raised portion of the outer shell to facilitate a transfer of rotation between the outer shell and the inner member. The central aperture is adapted to be operatively engaged with a second rotating member. The inner member is received inside said outer shell.

The method includes the following steps: providing a sphere; providing a first electrode; picking up the sphere by use of the first electrode; providing a metal sheet; providing a second electrode; pressing the metal sheet and sphere together such that the sphere is pressed against the metal sheet by the first electrode, and the metal sheet is pressed against the sphere by the second electrode; and welding the sphere and the metal sheet together by generating a welding current between the two electrodes.
