The lures and lines include the incorporation of materials that are sensitive to sonar imaging, and will highly define the underwater location of the fishing line on a sonar device's screen.

Articles such as a net, a round sling or a splice include a resin-impregnated lengthy body having multifilamentary yarns comprised of high performance polyethylene (HPPE) fibres and a polymeric resin dispersed throughout a cross-section of the multifilamentary yarns. The the polymeric resin is a homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene and/or propylene, wherein the polymeric resin has a density as measured according to ISO1183 in the range from 860 to 930 kg/m3, a melting temperature in the range from 40 to 140° C. and a heat of fusion of at least 5 J/g.

The disclosure provides embodiments of a fishing line that includes renewable natural fibers, and a renewable natural coating. Some of the embodiments of the disclosed fishing line include, for example, a single strand line, or a braided or plaited line made from multiple threads, strands or yarns. Other embodiments of the disclosed fishing line are degradable over a predetermined timeline. These embodiments are preferred because of the low environmental impact of the disclosed fishing lines.

An offshore fishing apparatus aligns properly, is light weight, and is consistently adjustable by the user to their desired tension for smooth release of their fishing line when a fish strikes or when any force overcomes the applied tension placed on the fishing line release arm. The device further includes a proximal beveled entry and exit including a pivot ball with an aperture, through which a kite or connection line is run through. The pivot ball allows the device to pivot in the direction the fishing line moves. The device is advantageously light weight, in part due to lightweight materials used to construct the device without reducing the device's performance.

The present invention provides an ideal fishing line which has a strong core-sheath structure, does not allow separation or detachment of the core part and the sheath part, is easy to handle, and also is excellent in strength, weatherability, and water resistance.
