摘要： Agricultural seed planting systems include a processing unit, a frame, a furrow opener coupled to the frame for opening a furrow in soil, and a sensor in communication with the processing unit and adapted to sense a characteristic associated with seed planting. The sensor may generate a signal associated with the sensed characteristic and the processing unit may receive the signal. In some aspects, the sensed characteristic may be either a soil characteristic or a seed characteristic. Information associated with the sensed characteristic can be saved in memory for future use and to assist with more effective planting in the future.

摘要： The devices, systems, and methods herein use air pressure to dispense seed into the ground in a controlled manner. In certain embodiments, a valve is actuated to push a single seed out of a seed chamber. The seed can be conveyed from the metering housing and through a seed delivery apparatus to the furrow at high speed. The seed is rapidly conveyed from the seed chamber to the furrow by a precisely controlled air pulse to eliminate variation enable high planting speeds.

摘要： A singulating meter includes a seed disc with seed apertures rotates in a vertical plane through a seed reservoir. A horizontal seed tube has an inlet adjacent to the top of the seed disc and the seed apertures move along a seed aperture path toward the inlet. Pressurized air flows into the tube inlet, and through each seed aperture as it rotates upward out of the seed reservoir pushing a seed into each seed aperture which seed then moves along the seed aperture path through about 180 degrees of rotation to a release position at the top of the path where the seed is carried horizontally into the seed tube. An ejector pushes debris out of the seed apertures into the seed tube. An alignment guide moves the singulator element of the meter into the operating position where same is magnetically secured.

摘要： A product flow splitter is used to distribute agricultural product from a distribution line to a primary hopper and a secondary hopper. The splitter has an inlet segment, a primary outlet segment, and a secondary outlet segment. The inlet segment receives the agricultural product from the distribution line, the primary outlet segment outputs the agricultural product to the primary hopper, and the secondary outlet segment outputs the agricultural product to the secondary hopper. The primary outlet segment is aligned with the inlet segment along a common axis and the secondary outlet segment is curved to avoid plugging of the agricultural product in the product flow splitter. The primary outlet segment is positioned relative to the primary hopper so that an outlet of the primary outlet segment in the primary hopper is offset from an outlet of the primary hopper to a meter system to solve an overfilled situation.

摘要： An agricultural seed planter is provided. The agricultural seed planter has a large diameter rotating planting wheel with fingers or teeth spaced around the periphery of the planting wheel. The teeth are positioned so as to achieve a spacing of the seeds when planted in the soil. The teeth have a small dimple in the end and an even smaller hole passing through the entire length. The dimple provides a place for the seed to sit in and the small hole allows positive or negative air pressure to be transmitted to the seed. The negative air pressure creates a vacuum suction that attaches the seed to the teeth, and the positive air pressure releases the seed from the teeth. In an example implementation, the wheel includes many individual mechanical modules that are linked together to form the wheel.

The assembly has a pipe defining an axis and configured to direct fluid flow, a sliding connector slidably positioned around an end portion of the pipe, the sliding connector being selectively slidable between an extended displacement and a retracted displacement relative to the pipe, and a locking mechanism that selectively prevents axial movement of the sliding connector from the extended displacement to the retracted displacement. The locking mechanism prevents the sliding member from transition from the extended displacement to the retracted displacement regardless of the rotational orientation of the sliding connector relative to the pipe about the axis.
