    摘要: Systems and techniques for beamforming are disclosed. Codebook antenna ports, such as ports defined by the 8 transmit antenna LTE codebook, are mapped to sub-elements of an antenna array arranged to form a plurality of elevation and azimuth ports, such as 4 elevation and 2 azimuth ports or 2 elevation and 4 azimuth ports. The mapping is chosen so as to optimize performance. Phasing values may also be applied to signal components provided as inputs to the sub-elements, with the values chosen to maximize performance, such as rank 1 gain or rank 2 or higher performance.

    摘要: A fusing system for use in an image forming apparatus has a fusing temperature control unit having a controller which controls the surface temperature ‘T’ of the fusing roller by detecting the surface temperature ‘T’ in accordance with a predetermined temperature control period ‘t0’; comparing the surface temperature ‘T’ with a preset target temperature ‘Tt’; turning on and off the heater in accordance with a maximum power supply time ‘Max ON-time’ and a minimum power cutoff time ‘Min OFF-time’ when the surface temperature ‘T’ is lower than the target temperature ‘Tt’; and turning on and off the heater in accordance with a preset minimum power supply time ‘Min ON-time’ when the surface temperature ‘T’ is higher than the target temperature ‘Tt’.

    摘要: A system which permits the measurement, during operation, of the arc voltage electrodes having an upper metal portion (4) cooled by circulating water. The system employs an electrical instrumentation-cable (16) attached to a piece (5) for fixing the graphite consumable portion (3) of the electrode. This cable runs along the axis of the metal portion (4) and then inside one of the water-supply pipes (11), terminating at an electronic box (14) which converts the incoming measurement signal into a light wave.

    摘要: Iron metal is continuously smelted in an electric arc furnace having three electrodes energized with three-phase current. Solid material rich in iron metal is continuously fed into a zone of the furnace hearth proximate two electrodes generating long and strongly radiating arcs and molten metal is continuously discharged in a zone of the hearth proximate the third electrode generating a short arc of limited radiation. This method is useful for continuously processing scrap-iron or pre-reduced solid material in the continuous production of steel.
