    Abstract: An electrical contact and lead frame having a contact base and a tab section. The tab section extends from the contact base. The tab section has a first wall and an oppositely facing second wall. The first wall and the second wall are configured to make an electrical and mechanical connection to a mating receptacle portion of a mating contact of a first mating plug assembly. An insulation displacement slot is provided in the tab section. The insulation displacement slot extends from the end surface. The insulation displacement slot is configured to make an electrical and mechanical connection to electrical conductors of a second mating assembly.

    Abstract: A connection terminal includes a housing, a slide, and an insulation displacement contact. At least portions of the slide and the insulation displacement contact are received in the housing. The slide has an opening for inserting a conductor to be contacted. The slide is movable from a first position toward the insulation displacement contact to a second position in order to engage the insulation displacement contact with the conductor to be contacted. The slide has a tool abutment configured to transmit, to the slide, an assembly force of a robot-guided assembly tool for moving the slide from the first position to the second position.

    Abstract: A wire connection device includes an electrical wire, an insulation displacement terminal and a stress relaxation member. The electrical wire includes a conductor and an insulation coating on an outer periphery of the conductor. The insulation displacement terminal has a slot in which the electrical wire is fitted. The insulation displacement terminal is connected to the electrical wire by both side portions of the slot being in direct contact with the conductor and pressing the conductor elastically and plastically. The stress relaxation member is fitted in the slot of the insulation displacement terminal to suppress deterioration of a stress applied to the electrical wire.

    Abstract: A connector includes a terminal configured to be connected to a wire, a plate-like housing has a terminal accommodating portion configured to accommodate the terminal, the housing having a ceiling wall portion that blocks an upper of a front portion of the terminal accommodating portion and an opening portion which is opened at an upper of a rear portion of the terminal accommodating portion, and a cover configured to cover the opening portion of the terminal accommodating portion when the cover is assembled to the housing. A protruding portion is provided on a front end portion of the cover. The protruding portion presses the terminal located in a primary locking position forward in the front-rear direction to move the terminal from the primary locking position to a regular insertion position when the cover is assembled to the housing.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a front wire terminal and a rear wire terminal. The front wire terminal and the rear wire terminal are configured to couple to a conductor of a cable. A front signal trace is coupled to the front wire terminal. A rear signal trace is coupled to the rear wire terminal. The front signal trace is positioned adjacent to the rear signal trace. A front mating contact is coupled to the front signal trace. A rear mating contact is coupled to the rear signal trace. The front signal trace conveys an electrical signal between the front wire terminal and the front mating contact. The rear signal trace conveys an electrical signal between the rear wire terminal and the rear mating contact. An electro-mechanical compensation is positioned between the front signal trace and the rear signal trace to control crosstalk between the front signal trace and the rear signal trace.
