摘要： A PCB connector (10) has a housing (11) with a receptacle (14) that has a rear wall (12). The rear wall (12) has through holes (30) that provide communication between the inside and the outside of the receptacle (14). Recesses (31) are formed at receptacle ends of the through holes (30). Terminal fittings (20) are introduced through the through holes (30) from the outside of the housing (11). Chips (34) produced by the abrasion of the terminal fittings (20) and the inner walls of the through holes (30) stay in the recesses (31) and do not interfere with a mating connector.

摘要： An electrical connector (100) for mounting on a PCB (3) by a tool (5) to electrically connecting different electrical components includes an insulative housing (1) with a plurality of passageways (13) defined therethrough for receiving a corresponding plurality of electrical contacts (2) therein. A plurality of retaining slots (14), each of which is located beside corresponding passageway (13), are defined through a top surface (12) of the housing (1). Each electrical contact (2) has a retaining portion (24) extending upwardly. The retaining portion (24) abuts upwardly against the tool (5) for maintaining the contacts (2) in position when the connector (100) is mounted to the PCB (3).

摘要： A compliant press fit contact 1 comprises a retaining mounting portion 12 in the shape of a hollow cylinder for mounting the press fit contact into a metal-coated hole 22 defined in a printed circuit board 2. The mounting portion defines a plurality of slots 121 and a slit 122, which are spaced apart from each other, dividing the mounting portion into a plurality of spring beams 120. Each beam has an arced outer surface for engaging with a wall 220 of the metal-coated hole. When inserted into the hole, the mounting portion deforms toward a center thereof, thereby securely retaining the press fit contact 1 in the hole.

摘要： An electrical connector comprises a housing and a number of contacts received in the housing. The housing has a base portion forming a mounting surface, a closed rear face and a front face. A number of cavities is defined in the mounting surface and is exposed to the closed rear face. A partition, extending along a front-rear direction of the base portion, is formed in each cavity. The partition divides the cavity into first and second chambers. Each contact includes a blade portion, a fixing post and a contact tail substantially parallelly extending from the blade portion. The fixing post forms a pair of barbs extending toward the contact tail. The contact tail forms a terminating portion perpendicularly extending from a free end thereof for contacting to a printed circuit board. The fixing post and the contact tail are respectively received in the first chamber and the second chamber.
