    Abstract: Electrical connector comprising a detection device for detecting potential overheating, which comprises an electrically conductive element and an electrically insulating element inserted between the electrically conductive element and a low-voltage line. The electrically conductive element exerts an elastic force on the insulating element. For example, the electrically conductive element is a spring. In the event of overheating, the insulating element deforms under the pressure of the electrically conductive element and enables an electrical connection between two low-voltage lines. The overheating is detected as a consequence of the electrical design of this connection between the low-voltage lines.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an electrosurgical system. The electrosurgical system includes an electrosurgical generator configured to output electrosurgical energy and including a receptacle having at least one mechanical interface. The system also includes an electrosurgical instrument adapted to connect to the electrosurgical generator and configured to deliver energy to tissue. Further, a plug is provided to engage the receptacle to electrically couple the electrosurgical instrument to the electrosurgical generator. The plug includes a terminal electrically coupled to the electrosurgical instrument and a prong electrically coupled to the terminal that includes a recess defined therein and is configured to receive the at least one mechanical interface. When the plug is disengaged from the receptacle, the at least one mechanical interface cooperates with the recess to uncouple the prong from the terminal.

    Abstract: An overheating destructive disconnecting method for switch, whereby an operating member applies a first elastic force under normal conditions to enable the movable conductive member contacts a first conductive member and a second conductive member to form a conductive circuit; and a second elastic force to enable the movable conductive member to separate from the first conductive member or the second conductive member. The installation position of the overheating destructive member is used to receive heat energy instead of allowing current to flow thereto. When the overheating destructive member is destructed or deformed under a fail temperature condition, lessening or loss of the force applied by the first elastic force towards the movable conductive member causes the movable conductive member to no longer allow electrical conduction to the first conductive member and the second conductive member, thereby breaking the current-carrying circuit.
