Abstract: A terminal for coupling electrical conductors formed of different materials and arranged in confronting, overlapping relation comprises a body formed of elastomeric, non-conductive material encircling at least one of the conductors and bearing against another of the conductors, the body containing a plurality of discrete, electrically conductive particles responsive to compression of the body to establish an electrically conductive path between the conductors. Force applying means acts on the body via a force distributing member which overlies a substantial portion of the length of the body so as to apply sufficient compressive force to the body to render the latter conductive.

Abstract: A shielding tape grounding device which is installed on a high voltage cable of the type having a metallic shielding tape for the purpose of grounding the shielding tape, the device including a sleeve of elastomeric material, preferably electrically conductive, a corrugated band seated within the sleeve, a grounding rod connected to the band, and a clamp surrounding the sleeve and the band such that the sleeve may be slipped over the cable to place the band over a bared portion of the metallic shielding tape and the clamp may be tightened to draw the band into engagement with the tape and provide a direct connection to ground through the grounding rod.

Abstract: An electrical connector for effecting connection between a wire and a `banana` type socket includes an axially extending male pin divided by a slot(s) into radially expansible contact arm quadrants. Abstract: An electrical terminating device includes a prestessed generally annular split collar member having its free ends held apart by a rigid bridge member having leg portions urged into abutting engagement with the free ends of a lower saddle member to maintain the bowed side walls of the collar member in a preloaded condition. Abstract: An electrical connector of the resilient spring type for resiliently clamping together first and second conductors. The connector includes a frame into which a screw can be threadedly advanced. The conductor-contacting edge of the screw includes a cavity from which protrudes a coiled spring. A conductor pad has a shaft extending therefrom which is received within the coils of the spring. When the screw is tightened against the conductors, the spring is compressed. If the conductors later deform under the compressive force of the screw, the spring uncoils and forces the conductor pad to maintain a strong clamping force on the conductors.

Abstract: A separable splice connector which is particularly suitable for 15/25 kV, 600 ampere primary distribution system cables is disclosed. The connector includes a unitary splice body assembly of molded elastomeric material having a longitudinal portion for receiving lug conductor terminated adjacent cable ends thereon, and a transverse portion for receiving removable threaded fastening means which function to secure the lug conductors together within the splice body.
